Interesting, bright and spacious and well narrated. Not to be missed. Found it to be one of the most interesting museums / homes ever to have visited.

It's free to visit! Thats a good deal right there. Inside the most pretty parc of Cascais. Arrange at least an hour to tour the inside and explore the paintings and ways of this unique house, right next to the only stone bridge over the Atlantic Ocean!
The garden around it, good for picnics also is worth spending a good time. Jog, walk, listen to summer concerts ...

Climb up to the armaments tower for stunning views as well as a step back into a glorious history. Self-guided tours through this palace allow you to think how it would be to live here, strolling quiet and thoughtfully decorated rooms that served a loving family well.

The former home of a Count, bequeathed to the town, it has beautifully kept rooms, decor and furniture. Free to get in, and guides in rooms v helpful. They even let you get onto the turret roof. Gardens lovely too.
