This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. At first I wasn't impressed by the outside or the basic decor inside but I have to say the food and service won both me and my husband over. The staff were very friendly. The food here was of a far higher quality than you get on the touristy strips and was ridiculously good value. We ate here several evenings. What they do here is fresh food, cooked simply in a Portuguese style. Fish is their speciality. Casual dining and what feels like a good home cooked meal.

Not a great atmosphere and the decor is simple - but the food is excellent and knocks the spots off some of the more "touristy" restaurants.

Great appetisers that negate the need for any starters.
Excellent fresh fish and I would also recommend the pork and steak.
Ate here several times during our stay after being disappointed elsewhere in town. Excellent value for money.

Fish the speciallity here. We were give a range of appetisers to start with that included mushrooms, cheese, peppers, olives and bread. It was like a mini meze which was enough of a starter for the two of us. Excellent value for the food and house wine.

Loved it. Recommended by our hotel. Excellent fresh fish and very knowledgeable and friendly host. They made recommendations and even came out with the fresh catch of the day so we could see just how fresh the options were. I had grilled sea bass - best fish so far. My husband had the grilled steak and it was also excellent. Our friends had grilled squid and fried sole and they were also amazing. The couvert ( starter platter) was also delicious and unique from others with marinated mushrooms and roasted red peppers along with the usual olives and white cheese. And of course the excellent Portuguese bread. Can't go wrong here!
