This hotel was great. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

The panoramic view over the ocean was stunning and the salt water pool was cool and refreshing in the hot sun. We also used the indoor hot tub one evening which was very relaxing.

Situated just outside Cascais it was 5 euros in a cab.

Breakfast was vast with lots of choice. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening which was quiet but good food.

The room was very clean and quite big. The bathroom was a little dated but that didn't make any difference to our holiday.

We loved the atmosphere and whilst there was a road in front of the hotel you hardly noticed the traffic, which wasn't busy at all. It was a great hotel to relax in and the fresh towels around the pool made you feel very pampered.

We ended our two week family vacation to Portugal and Spain here at this hotel. The price and the location have to be considered negatives. The location is on the main road from Cascais to Gincho along the coast but it is a long walk to downtown Cascais (recommend taxi or bus). On the flip side, you have the vast ocean right at your door step and being away from downtown makes it a much quieter stay. The room was a good size for European standards with a modern bathroom. The staff was top notch. The salt water pool was inviting and the breakfasts had a good variety of fresh fruits along with the typical meats, cheeses, eggs, etc. I would stay there again without any reservations.

I would not recommend this hotel to my friends and I am disappointed we had booked 3 days there as its not as good as the website makes out! The pool and garden are on a busy main road with lorries hurtling up and down all day, the noise is loud and can also be heard in the bedrooms, by the pool and in the garden, which is not relaxing at all. The food is expensive and really average, so over priced. The hotel is also in the middle of now where! A good 20-30 minutes walk to Cascais and there isn't a local shop and only one restaurant directly across the street. The staff at the hotel are fabulous, really helpful and lovely they are the best thing about the hotel. The rooms were fine but again for the money they were over priced. All in all a waste of 3 days.

We stay already in all of the 5 stars in Cascais, I have to say that Senhora da Guia is the best five star HOTEL in Cascais, the staff is fantastic, the dinners in the terrace with ponoramic view to the Ocean is incredible.
Rooms very clean and the bed is fantastic...
