This Charming hotel was perfect for our weekend stay by the Ocean in Cascais. Between Pinetrees and golf courses we felt Nature was with us, went for some walks and took a great 4x4 trip to Sintra Mountains! The rooms are very comfortable and the pool with ocean water, daybeds and homemade ice teas is great. Staff was very attentive special note for Joana that made our dinner memorable. The food is fantastic with real homemade pasta and the lobster was a real treat! We will be back, thanks you to all!

This is a lovely hotel, with a landscaped garden and views over the sea. Staff are very friendly and helpful and all speak a very high standard of English (a shame really, as we wanted to practice our Portuguese!!). The sea water swimming pool is a highlight. The restaurant serves delicious, high-quality and imaginative food. Rooms are spacious, with great modern bathrooms - those at the back may not have the view, but are quiet and peaceful. The distance from Cascais is not a problem - you can get into town very easily by taxi, but escape again to a very tranquil environment. Two criticisms only - most of the hotel is decorated in bright, sunshine colours...so why (as in 99% of hotels) are the bedrooms shades of brown and mushroom? And secondly - why no pasteis de Belem (the local delicacy) at breakfast? Both criticisms led us to think that the hotel is maybe trying to be a little less Portuguese and more "international" - but that's not what we go to a smallish boutique hotel for... But overall it was fantastic and we'd love to go back.

This hotel was truly wonderful. If it was on the beach, it would have been over the top! Everything was lovely, staff where great, anyone staying would be very pleased. The only negative was that the male clerk was sweating heavily, and the smell wasn't welcoming. Otherwise, it was five star! Make this your choice if you choose Cascais as a destination!

Room Tip: We booked on Expedia and received a great room!

We stayed there for 2 nights in May 2011 and loved it: The rooms had been refurbished earlier this year and were stylishly appointed. The whole place is beautiful and peaceful (the hotel is set back from the road and you shouldn't be bothered by road noise). There is no beach (but you will find one very close buy - you will need a bike or a car 'though). The breakfast is excellent and included. The restaurant also serves pretty good meals at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful - I want to specifically call out Nelson, who went out of his way to tend to our quirks and needs (lost room key, forgotton code for the safe, etc.).

We stay here for 1 night (as we leave near by) and it was a great experience! The room was huge, breakfast was great with a tremendous sea view, that gave us a nice energy for the next months! Don't miss this great hotel!

Senhora da Guia is a fantastic hotel. We have been driving all over Portugal and decided to stay in Cascais rather than in Lisbon - in the end we decided to live Lisbon for a long weekend. Senhora da Guia is perfectly situated half-way to Estoril and Lisbon and to Guincho beach. It was great to have the swimming pool and the service is impeccable. The jacuzzi and saunas are an extra and although we didn't book any massage, other guests were truly enjoying it. The breakfast is delicious and the sea view was a great star for our day. Senhora da Guia proved to take service seriously even after our stay. I left my iPhone at the hotel and realized it at the airport. After a quick call, Miss Teresa confirmed the phone was there and they send it straight away to England.

I was in a business trip when I stayed in this hotel. The meeting rooms were great. They had view over the garden and the ocean. The room I have stayed in was comfortable and very clean. Five star hotel with five star service. The best thing of this hotel is the people and the service. Specially the receptionist which was very nice and helpful.Since I was on work I wasn't expected to have such a great experience. But the truth is I felt at home and I recommended this to all my friends.
