We found this place on tripadvisor and went because of the good reviews. The food was beautiful and the service was magnificent. I would highly recommend.

“Perfect plat du Jour”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

We have only ever had lunch here but we keep coming back.

The daily dishes at lunch time are fantastic and great value. You get bread and olives to start, soup, a choice between 2 to 3 main dishes, dessert, coffee and a drink (including wine). Wednesday they have fish moqueca which is better than anything I have ever had in Brazil and thursday they have the traditional cusido a Portugesa, a combination of loads of veggies, various meats and potatoes. The chocolate mousse is delicious.

The staff is so nice, they dont mind making changes to the dishes to accommodate any eating requirements and are always smiling regardless how busy it is. They even opened the kitchen back up for us after we arrived late for lunch.

Great place with indoor and outdoor seating, its a real hidden gem! Highly recommended to everyone.

“Excellent local food”
Reviewed June 14, 2014 via mobile

We are lucky enough to live near this restaurant and in fact it was the first restaurant we tried on the day we moved into our house. We have been back many times since. Carlos is always welcoming and the food is always good. Baked mussels and the prawn açorda are particular favourites although our son does love the curry! Book a table if you can as it is small and can get busy. Well worth a trip!

“Very good food in a local restaurant”
Reviewed September 11, 2013 via mobile

We had a really nice meal here, 3 adults and 2 children.
Carlos was very accomodating and made some meals for the children which were not on the menu.
The food was very good, and also the local house wine and liquers!
Overall a nice meal, we will definately come back

“Excellent family run restaurant”
Reviewed October 12, 2011

If you enjoy good quality home cooked food then this is the place to go when in the Cascais area. It is a little out of the way being In Aldeia de Juso but if you have car hire then it is worth making the trip. The restaurant is run by Carlos who is at front of house and serves the most delicious food cooked by his wife.
Nothing is too much trouble and Carlos is very willing to explain some of the Portuguese dishes on the menu. The food is beautifully cooked and well presented, and the menu is varied with something to please most people.
Definately highly recommended.
