“Highly recommended for lunch in Cascais”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

As two vegetarians it was a pleasure to find the Cascais Bio. It was just outside the main streets of restaurants but literally only 2 mins walk. The menu, while not hugely extensive, looked to have something for everyone and 3 veggie friendly options. We had beautiful stuffed crepes, freshly cooked and very tasty. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and even gave us a hand in brushing up on our terrible Portuguese!

Great food, great value, great service - you should definitely go

“well worth a visit”

Had lunch at CascaisBio today and can thoroughly recommend it.Had to ask the locals for directions but it is just off the main drag of restaurants, on the right going towards the Hotel Baia.So glad we found it.The food is organic, beautifully cooked and excellent value for money. The owner is a young man with a good command of the English language and explained what the dishes were and the ingredients. The menu is not extensive but there is more than enough choice to please everyone. The fish dish was delicious as was the hamburger special. We all had different desserts which were gorgeous and with drinks and a bottle of wine, the bill for 4 of us came to 52 euros. We would happily eat there in the evening but it is only open at lunchtime. Will return before we go home and have already decided to try the soup and salad.
They also do set menus, the most expensive one being 9 euros, which includes a starter,a main and a drink.Great food, great service and terrific value for money.

“A tastebud oasis in Portugal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2012

Salt, salt and more salt in what you generally encounter in Portugal so this restaurant was a welcome detox.

We enjoyed a light lunch here and were happy to support the "bio" approach to food by people who are clearly passionate about what they do. Sure it's not Whole Foods but it offers nice, tasty home cooked healthy food and genuinely friendly service and hospitality. Loved the pumpkin and coconut cake for dessert.

A great option to give you a break from from the standard grilled salty meat/fish and chips!

“Absolutely delicious and affordable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2012 via mobile

I ate at this restaurant while in Cascais this summer and was exceptionally happy with my experience. I originally tried to go for dinner, but they no longer serve dinner. The owner was still there though and made some recommendations of other places to go and try that were in the area. Next day, I came back for lunch as I found him so helpful and wanted to eat at his restaurant. I was NOT disappointed. I had the soup of the day and the burger with the mushroom cream sauce. Both were really delicious and extremely affordable. If you can find this little place, be sure to stop in. You won't regret it!

“excellent food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2012

Printed off the trip advisor list before we went to Cascais, and enjoyed going through the back streets to find the "real Portugese" restaurants. Cascais Bio is an excellent restaurant, the owner is so welcoming and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We had the burger which was delicious and had their house desserts plus wine, beer and coffee and only came to 24euro..definitely a must for future visits. Far more interesting than the noisey restaurants in the centre!
