“Too much formal..”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

Faroleiro is located on the coast, with spectacular view on the rocky cliffs and the ocean. The interior, kept in white colour, looks very elegant and calm. Because the room was almost empty, we felt bit stiff and too formal. The food was good and the different fishes, we have ordered, were cooked correctly. The fish soup was not memorable, thin, with only few shrimps inside. The service professional and tactful. Be prepared for for quite heavy bill.

“Best meal in the world”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

The location in Guincho is breathtaking. The restaurant is really special. Big wondows to a perfect setting, nice room and the best seafood you can expect. Recomend barnacles seafood and for desert farofias. All the good wines from Portugal to make the experience unique.

“What a View and What a Lunch!”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

A local recommended this and we are so glad we took the recommendation! We shared the red snapper Portuguese style and it was fantastic - prepared in a large baking dish whole with shrimp, onions, tomatoes and potatoes. And the view of the ocean and the beach is spectacular!

“Best fish and seafood during our holiday”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

I enjoyed this restaurant for several reasons. The atmosphere was very nice with white painted wood furniture and white tablecloths. The service was excellent. Very attentive, friendly and well timed. We shared a whole red snapper which was supposed to be for 2 but it fed 4 of us. We also had the Portuguese specialty of rice with seafood which was tasty and brimming with shrimp, crab and other goodies. It was not as hectic as some similar restaurants we visited and it was much better. Go there!!
Bill for 4 including wine, desserts, after dinner drinks and tip 270 euros.

“True excellence”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

A Party of eight, we had an extraordinary dinner. The view over the Atlantic Ocean alone is spectacular and provides an ever changing scenery during the visit. The food offered is primarily fish and seafood of absolute top quality and prepared with great skill and respect for the ingredients. We had some mixed platters of various fish and seafood such as lobster, crab, shrimps of different kinds and some great wine to follow. Staff was really great, attentive but not intrusive. One of the best seafood restaurants I have ever visited having travelled a lot over the world.
