It's hard to believe Panisol is a chain or franchise. One of my favourite coffee bars in Cascais. Good coffee the selction on cakes and patisserie will have you drooling at the counter. The coffee's good and it's cheap and service is cheap and quick. A must visit, to try something other than the well deserving favourite pastel do nato.

The Panisol Bakery has about half a dozen tables inside. It has a good selection of nice cakes.

A couple of cups of coffee and two cakes only came to about 5 euros which was really good value.

The bakery side is also inexpensive.

After traveling 23 hours to get to Estoril, a good night's sleep was in store. But, waking early in the morning (5:30am), I decided to take a shower and go for a walk.

Panisol Bakery was open on my way back to the hotel, so I stopped in for a croissant and espresso. The espresso was very nice; hot and smooth ($.65e). The croissant had wonderful flavor ($1.05e). Not as flakey as the French version, but still, a lovely bite as the sun was peaking through the trees.

The bakery was very busy that morning with deliveries and a few patrons stopping in for their morning coffee. Sunny morning with lively activity. Nice.

Didn't try any of their other pastries, but the shelves, filled with goodies, looked incredible.
