We have eaten here three times in two visits and it's always good - but it's the grilled fish and seafood platter for two that keeps us coming back. Excellent king prawns, garlicky mussels, superb sea bass and (I think) swordfish, only letdown by over-dry salmon. Absolutely delicious, with good, if pricey, wine (though on fish we usually go for the Casa do Santar red). We sit outside (don't think they have air con).

Fantastic food in an understated restaurant.

Went there twice in our three night stay in Cascais. Try the fish and seafood platter, meant for 2 people but 3 could easily share.

My husband and I are just back from a trip to Cascais. We generally ate very well and were advised to try Tasca da Vila for evening meal. I ordered the grilled sea bass and my husband ordered steak....well done.....with pepper sauce.

Both meals were lukewarm when they arrived at the table and my husbands steak was medium rare and quite bloody! He returned the steak which, when it arrived back to the table, was still surrounded by the same, now cold, chips! He asked for fresh chips which were still uncooked when they arrived.

All in all, a poor experience and I wouldn't go back.
PS Don't confuse this restaurant with another of similar name in Cascais....A Tasca of which i have heard good reports.
