I couldn’t choose a better location in Lisbon if I put up my own rent. Perfect for acccess to Lisbon, which made it a wonderful long weekend (4 nights). The bed, shower, furnishings are all good, with big fridge and cooking facilities if you want. The double glazed windows are terrific at keeping the noise blocked from the square outside. I thought that the noise could be an issue but it was not at all. The walls were a bit thin and could hear people next door and wooden floors allows every step to be heard, but peaceful at night with good a/c unit.
There is no lift and about 8 flights of stairs. The view is worth being high up, but it was a trick to go back to the appartment at the end of the day. Luckily we had arranged through the contact to have us collected at the airport. Our appartment wasn’t ready so he dropped us in town to start our holiday and he took the bags and deliver them to our room. It would have been a pain to carry our bags up.
I would recommend this place to friends, but warn them of the stairs if they were not fit. Very nice people to coordinate with and quick responses on communication.
Loved Lisbon (take train to Cintra, maybe spelled Sintra) for great day trip out. Rent little electric 2 seat car for memorable day (see other review by me)
Lisbon Heart Apartments is the best place to stay in Lisbon. Location is great – Baixa - this area is historic, central and enjoyable. Every square near by is beautiful and broad. You have easy walking access to Rossio Metro and Rossio Train stations, famous Tram 28 (winding trips all over historic Lisbon), famous Tram 14 (going to Belem with its museums, Monastery, Belem tower, etc.), Santa Justa Lift (you can go there at the time when queue is short; night views also), two elevators (funiculars) at/near Praca dos Restauradores, Fabrica da Nata (must go there and eat; must do it many times), Praca do Comercio with its panoramic riverview from the top of Arco Triunfal da Rua Augusta. Airport bus if you need it. Lovely food market almost next door from the entrance into the building of the Lisbon Heart Apartments. Everything in Lisbon Heart Apartments is well designed to make your stay enjoyable (eve sewing kit, Lisbon travel guides, vacabulary and … spare usb charger). Drinking at the balcony over the square was one of our favourite things to do in the evening. Good Kitchen and Bathroom. Aircon. Wine glasses (even for sparkling wine). We were picked up at the airport and brought there back after our stay by (now our very good friend) who is a friend of the owner. We were proper introduced to the Apartment, Lisbon, provided with advice regarding What to See, Where to Go, etc. Also we learned much about Portuguese Artillery and Army!
