The day we went into the old city of Viseu to go sightseeing was very windy. Nonetheless, we chose to sit outside at Colmeia, right beneath the old cathedral. Very atmospheric, in every sense of the word. What a job the waiters had to keep everything around us from blowing away! But how cheerful and friendly they were; they made our lunch a memorable experience. I ordered the feijoada, which was tasty. It was also inexpensive and filling. My father-in-law had the leitao, also good. Consumed with a local red wine from the Dao, the food and the attentive service made for a very enjoyable meal.
