We stayed here for 2 nights in October. It was a 6 euro taxi ride to get there from rail station Coimbre-B. Our room was not yet ready (we arrived about 2PM, and check-in begins at 3). The receptionist (english was quite good!) was very kind and polite and oriented us to the area with a map and went over the various sites and attractions. She helpfully stowed our luggage while we went for a late lunch. The room (we had a triple room #211) was very modern and clean and simple with not much character. One night the receptionist also made reservations at a nearby restaurant that was excellent (A Conzinha da Maria....they have fado on sunday nights!) Location of hotel was excellent. We would stay here again.

We stayed at the Hotel for 2 nights and found that it was in a great location and we were able to walk to all the sites. The old town is very quaint with narrow cobbled streets and many restaurants. The room was small but comfortable and the hotel had a very nice breakfast that was included in the price. I would stay there again and recommend it.

Great location just steps from the Coimbra downtown train station and shopping. Hotel looks new inside and out. Super clean. Comfortable beds. No refrigerator. Shutters on the windows are able to block out all the light. Very quiet. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Grocery is a two minute walk away. Staff all very friendly and speaks very good English. Highly recommended.

Great location, very close to the train station with bakerys, small supermarkets and numerous bars / restuarants nearby. Short walk to the tourist area and the start of the hill to the University and main sites.

Room was clean and reasonable size (although not big by any stretch of the imagination). We had a kind of river view room, but with the window open there was a constant humming from something outside. Good shutters to keep light out. Comfy bedding and big bed.

We had a baby with us and a travel cot was provided with some padding (not a proper mattress); however this had not been assembled correctly by their team, so I had to work this out after it fell apart as I put our baby to bed!

Good reception staff who gave us a map, highlighted main sights and directions to local services; however they were not at all flexible about a later check out and would not let us have 30 mins later (with a baby it is sometimes hard to get our checkout on time!).

On arrival into Coimbra we had not booked any accommodation as we were doing the Camino walk
On arrival and enquire at the Vitoria Hotel in the afternoon the Reception girl was so helpful that it really influenced our choice to stay.
She pointed out sightseeing areas restaurants and even a laundry and how it works. Could not have been more helpful
In the morning a different lady went out of her way to store our backpacks while we went to look at some sights.
Absolutely fantastic service and a good price for value in a great location

Room Tip: There is a lift so all floors are great
