Villa Pedra Natural Houses

Villa Pedra offers a glimpse of paradise. We stayed for 3 nights in the Lemon-Tree house. Loved the great attention to detail which included luxurious bedding and linens, a fully equipped
kitchen complete with elegant dinnerware and the warm, fresh bread that is delivered to your door each morning. Absolutely loved the decor featuring mid-century vintage pieces blended with eclectic modern art and Moroccan influences. The view from our front step was breath-taking.(and that is high praise from a Canadian whose landscape is equally stunning)
We didn't have an opportunity to eat at the restaurant but enjoyed exploring the neighbouring towns and villages.
If it is necessary for you to have strong WIFI connection, we were only able to access Internet from outside our cottage.
Peaceful, relaxed stay at Villa Pedra that I would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Our cottage could easily accommodate a family or a group of 4 travellers.

Absolutely fantastic accommodation - beautifully restored and detailed cottages with great mid-century vintage furniture. Unfortunately we had bad weather and couldn't get to appreciate the pool or our stunning garden (although we managed a few figs off the fig tree!) We did get to sample the restaurant 3 times though which was really great food (I think all cooked by Victor - a man of many talents!) Fresh bread at breakfast was delicious although far too much. Ability to squeeze fresh OJ was really enjoyable - although cheese and meats were a little repetitive after 7 days and slices of processed cheese on last 2 days weren't really up to the standard of the rest One thing to bear in mind when booking - although there is site wide WiFi this didn't make it through the thick walls of our cottage (Alecrim)so we didn't get to play with our duty free purchased ipad! This wasn't really a problem - just to be aware
Room Tip: We were in villa Alecrim which Mauel said was their best house. didn't see any others to compare but it was beautifully detailed and furnished within. The houses have small windows which help keep them cool in the summer but worth being aware of if you want an off-season break as they can be quite dark inside.

We had an idyllic stay at Villa Pedra. The place is very nicely set up for comfort, relaxation and enjoyment. The level and quality of attention we received from the owners (Victor and Manuel) was outstanding. The beautifully appointed Cherrytree house was lovely, a great size with a very functional kitchen. The pool, gardens, grounds and surroundings are simply beautiful, either for strolling, relaxing or just doing nothing.
Thanks to these wonderful people for taking such great care of us, with wonderful breakfasts, use of all the facilities, restaurant recommendations, and suggestions for day-trips in the vicinity. We highly recommend Villa Pedra to anyone wishing to visit the Beiras in Portugal.

This is our second trip to Villa Pedra. This time we stayed in Jasmin Cottage which was just lovely for the two of us. The garden is great for sunbathing and eating outside and is huge with lots of little seating nooks and crannies and your own hammock. The restaurant had just opened when we arrived and we had a stunning meal of mackerel, soup, octopus and berry tart all washed down with their award winning wines. A great place, we'll definitely be back x

Room Tip: We've stayed in both Cherry (beautiful but garden is detached from the house) and Jasmin (not as...

We were looking for a very quiet location in the Portuguese countryside and this has to be one of the best locations I have ever been to. Wonderful house, with a nice kitchen, bathroom, lots of space and a very good taste for decoration and architecture. The private garden we had was just delightful.

Every morning you get freshly baked bread and a tart at your door together with local homemade cheese, honey, jam and lots of fruit. Coffee, tea and fresh milk are always there as well.

The environment of the hotel is more than unique and as quiet and clean as it can get. Do not come here looking for the beach (1 hour), nightlife or museums.

One day after we left they opened the restaurant, the only thing we might have missed (but we didn't, since our kitchen was great and there is a nice supermarket 15 minutes by car)

Just excellent.

Villa Pedra is amazing. It is a work of art in every way--the houses, the landscape, the soon to open restaurant--the entire experience. Every detail of Villa Pedra has been thoughtfully created and is perfect. Victor is a PRINCE. His enthusiasm, his talent, his generosity completed our incredible stay. Our stay was too short, but we feel privileged to have found our way there.
