Stayed for one night only on our way from Porto to Lisbon. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff. They arranged a taxi to pick us up from the train station but when we arrived there was a half marathon that had closed the roads, so they arranged for the taxi to drop us off and to meet us to help with our luggage up the hill! That said by the time we got there the roads had opened again and so the taxi was able to take us all up to the hotel. Room wasn’t ready so they let us change in the laundry across the street and kept our bags for us. Yes the room is small but it is all perfectly laid out - the only place I have stayed in for a long while where is somewhere with good light and a big mirror to do your makeup! But you better be very good friends with the person you are sharing with - shower, loo and basin are within the room with only glass and curtain and sliding door to separate you. Mirrors everywhere! The extras are thoughtful - cake with tea, coffee or fizz and complimentary breakfast that arrives picnic style in a basket. There are two rooms per floor with a communal sitting and kitchen area - everything thought of. Great value at 63euros for the night. More
