The Veneza Hotel may lack charm, but is a perfectly functional, clean, quiet, and acceptable choice. It is close to the train station, which depending on your plans may be an advantage, but the 15-minute walk to the center starts to seem a little long after a trip or two. The rooms are decorated soullessly, but have been renovated recently. The breakfast buffet was average but somewhat unattractive. Overall, we were satisfied with the choice because we were looking for a decent place to stay close to the train station at a reasonable rate.

This was a nice enough hotel, with good facilities, and well located just on the edges of the town centre, but very close to the train station. Loaded up with bags, the short walk from the train station was a real benefit of this place, yet there was also no noise that you might expect from that sort of proximity. The walk to town was about 5-10 minutes, and the streets leading to the centre filled with opportunities for shopping...

The only small glitch was that the wifi only works in the lobby area (but we had anticipated that). Breakfast was average and the breakfast room a little tight movement wise, but this probably reflected the star rating of the restaurant. Everything else was as we would expect for the price, and we both slept well.

The Veneza Hotel stays in an old style building, but it's all renovated. I stayed in room for a couple. The space is very good, it has a cosy chair and also a place to work. It has a mini refrigerator, a flat screen tv, a queen size bed very confortable, and our room has a balcony to the street in front of the hotel. It has a parking too. The bathroom is big, with bathtub, all new. The location is good, too.The only bad thing about the hotel is the lack of wifi internet at the floors, only in the loby.

Nice Hotel, but a bit distant from main center. Good for footing :)
Very good breakfast.
Nice large rooms (but a small noise from elevator in one of them).
All personnel very kind

Room Tip: 1st floor but faraway from elevator and in the front side of the hotel

This hotel is well located near the train station and one of the main avenues of Aveiro, but a little far from the historical part and from the University campus.

Rooms are nice, big and cozy, clean and well kept. I didn't have breakfast so I cannot comment on that aspect. Service was generally nice, although at times I had to wait a few minutes before somebody came to the Reception (they were doing some refurbishing at that time, maybe that was the reason). Also, you have to pay for wifi access to the internet, which is something that I find quite annoying.

For a nice hotel in a small Portuguese town, I find it a bit pricy, to be sincere. I would expect to pay around 60€ for a room in Lisbon, but not in Aveiro. Other than that, it is a nice place to stay for a few nights.

4 minute walk from the train station, nice size room, friendly staff. Good breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon (Portuguese style a little undercooked for me), fruit, bread, cheeses and lunchmeat ham. A little far from the downtown area, staff says 10 minute walk we thought more like 15 or so. Town itself is cute, but saying it is the "Venice of Portugal" is stretching it.

This is a very safe choice for those wanting quick access to the train station to visit Porto or Coimbra. Clean, friendly, free choclate, port, wi fi in the lobby. Great bakery across the street for breakfast which we loved. The train station is great here and an excellent way to see Porto
