Had a walk round these beautiful gardens and was very relaxed and stunned by scenery. Such a peaceful place. Finished my walk off with a cup of coffee served by a cheerful, friendly man. Worth a visit

I really liked this park. It was a quiet oasis in Ponta Delgada. Something to go see if you’re staying in Ponta Delgada. Great spot for a date ;)

Quirky, interesting layout with high paths, low paths, hidden corners, caves, lookouts and ponds. A lovely sheltered spot close to the Sao Miguel Parque hotel and the Parque Atlantico shops. We used it as a shortcut while walking down to the city in the evenings. One night, the gates hadn't yet been locked and we were treated to a spookily beautiful scene of uplit trees and bamboo like something straight out of Avatar.

OK it's about 10 minutes walk from the centre but worth the walk.

Massive trees and a couple of interesting grottos plus two ponds (full of croaking frogs when we visited).

If you like informal gardens with shady trees go and look at this place. The huge Australian Fica is very impressive.

Visited Jardim Gardens while in San Miguel, a friend back in the states did a search in the area for me and said I need to visit during my stay. From the moment I stepped on the grounds I amazed how green and lush it was. There were beautiful trees, paths, stairs and caves to explore. Unfortunately, it rained during my visit otherwise I would've stayed much longer. If in the area, make sure to visit and there is no charge.
