Beautifully kept garden with interesting topography. Lava caves provided a background for the flowers and trees. Very inexpensive admission for a quiet stroll with great sights.

Like city parks all over the world, but the grottoes showing a representation of volcanic caves are now closed due to locals improper use. The New Zealand Christmas Tree is unique and the rubber tree huge and old.

This is a beautiful and varied urban park which has had the time and attention to become truly spectacular. Huge trees from around the world and a large stand of bamboo are highlights. Free admission and many beautiful vistas make this a must-see.

Peaceful, varied planting, well maintained, well signed and plenty of interesting corners, concealed surprises and places to sit and stare.

I love this garden. The garden offers a variety of plants and trees from all over the world. This was a garden created by Antonio Borges and every time I come to Ponta Delgada I always come to the garden to relax, reflect and appreciate this great plant collection
