“cais 20: deadliest catch!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2013 via mobile

Only good thing about it: food, tastes great, no question about it. But nowadays, you cant (or at least shouldnt) make a restaurant just about it. We got there and there were noone to receive us. We had to go ask (beg) to be seated, ask (beg) for the menu, ask (beg) for our food.. got the idea? Even worse they almost got my wife killed twice with that dinner. First with a rock (!!) on her food and later that night by food poisining. But if you can ignore all of that then cais 20 is the place to go!

“Great fish and steak”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

While the ambiance is lacking the food is spectacular. The fish stew for 2 could easily have served 4. The "steak on a stone" was enough for 2. . An extensive menu and superb service. 4 of us dined for 87 euro which included wine and one dessert.

“Excellent restaurant with lots of options”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

Great Restaurant with extensive menu ranging from economic dishes to more expensive seafoods (and everything in between both meat and seafood). I found this restaurant by accident and tried the fried octopus for late lunch. The main dish was excellent. The meal was topped by the exquisite cinnamon ice cream for dessert. The view to the sea is also very nice from the outer part of the restaurant. Service at first a little bit slow and unattentive, but towards end of the meal it was also good.

“Great restaurant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

This restaurant is easy to find and a short drive from Ponta Delgada in Sao Roque. They have a small parking lot, so it is free to park at. The "economic" meals start around 6E, which is great as they include salad, potatoes, and the meat. This was one of the few restaurants to serve octopus stew when we were on the island.

“Good food, Great view”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

We escaped the Canadian winter this year and have spent 3 months in Ponta Delgada. Cais 20 has become our hands down best place to eat. The view from our favourite table is stupendous ... rain or shine. Lovely to eat while watching the waves crash against the rocks, or if you get there in time, to watch a beautiful sunset. The menu is extensive ... fresh fish, meat, all kinds of traditional dishes. And they have some nicely priced specials every day as well. Staff are exceptionally friendly even when it's busy. And as others have said, you can eat at Cais 20 any time of the day ... even till 5 in the morning. Walk there from the centre of the city. A great way to work out the calories along the boardwalk by the sea. Say Hi to Rui and Victor ... Wonderful waiters.
