The view is spectacular, maybe the best hotel location on the island. As for the hotel itself, the tacky design hurts my eyes, the air ducts creak REALLY loudly in some of the rooms when it gets windy. The only edible things at the breakfast buffet are the items that the kitchen did not personally produce (like cereal and fruit and sliced ham).
This is not a luxury hotel by far. That being said, it's next to Caloura beach, which is wonderful and Calour Bar, where you can swim in the ocean/pool and have a cocktail at the same time with the snazzier Azoreans.
