I don't know who has written the last 2 reviews but they sound suspicously like tourist promotions and do not reflect the reality of this company. I too stayed in a very dingy appartment for a big price of €50 a night which was very much below the standard of other places I stayed in in the Azores. Also they are mainly concerned with dolphin watching and only seem to engage in diving as an after thought. I eventually grew tired of complaing at PICO sport and resigned myself to go with the flow as you just end up getting stressed out. If you are planning on diving near PICO it would be better to stay on Faial as they do the same dive sites but have a number of operators. I would still recommend visting PICO as its an incrdeibly beautiful island but do your self a favour and avoid Pico Sport

I was really surprised on my first trip to Azores. It was a beautiful experience having the oportunity to visite the Cetaceans. Climb the moutain, swim in the natural pools and the beauty of the landscape.

The profissionalism of PicoSport on handling our accomodation in a quite and private house allowed us to look foward to come back

Last but not least, we were so well taking care by PicoSport that we feel free to recomend to anyone who decides to visit Pico to trust there services.

We spent a week on the lovely Island of Pico and had the misfortune of booking our accommodation and diving with Pico Sport. After being given the run around for several hours and put up for one night in hostel type accommodation which was not what we had booked, we were eventually installed in our "apartment". The two rooms with bathroom were more like a shop with the tiny bedroom facing directly onto a busy street. The glass door of the bedroom meant the curtains had to be pulled at all times for any privacy and we spent our time in darkness. The only furniture were two single beds, one of which collapsed on a regular basis and an old and mouldy wardrobe, housing the several cockroaches with which we shared our living quarters. The "kitchen" we were promised consisted of a fridge, cooker and sink. No plates or utensils were provided although we eventually managed to weasel a pot and a few pieces of delph from the proprietor. The place smelt mouldy . The shower leaked and trickled and provided us with no hot water. And this accommodation was not cheap at €50 per night for 2 people sharing. On other Azorean Islands we enjoyed an extremely high standard of accommodation for the same price and cheaper.
Despite further incompetence and disorganisation of PIco sport managment, we did enjoy some lovely dives. The best dive sites are just as accessible from Faial, where several dive centres can be found. Overall I would recommend that Pico Sport are avoided at all costs.
