We've been here beginning of August. When we return to our car after having visited the lighthouse at Cabo Sao Vicente, we found a flyer of this restaurant on our windscreen.
Usually I ignore these kinds of advertisments, since it usually means that you're being lured to a tourist trap.
But since the chlidren were hungry and tired, we decided to give it a chance for lunch.
We were absolutely amazed. A typical Portuguese restaurant, with only Portuguese guests (and us).
The very friendly staff served stunning foods. I had the special I'd seen at most tables, a stew of cuttlefish beans and chourizou sausage. My wife had the clams that looked as if they had been harvested that very morning and nr 3 had the best (tiger?) prawns, i've ever eaten. Since we had 2 small chlidren with us, staff decided that it was best for them to share a portion of turkeyburgers.
When we left, the headfwaiter apologized for the poor service, due to the fact 2 of his personel had called in ill.
I wished some other restaurants I've visited would have had the same poor service, it would have made me very happy.
Definetely a place to return to!!!
