I'm sure their a/c will cope with this. Its a great small apartment complex of a very high standard.
I can highly recommend a good value stay here at any time of the year.
Sagres is the end of the world and that's great. Not full of crowds and with great sea views and beaches here. Winter can be wonderful, T shirt weather and lots of outdoor time. No wind in Winter. But in winter its not a place for single teenagers looking for discos.

Room Tip: All apts look both ways, over the pool and over the mountains. But do check. Ist floor has better vi...

Dear brianbluebird,

We thank you for sharing your thoughts with the Tripadvisor community and are glad to see we will have you back for Xmas. Your thoughts describe Sagres just the way it is; perhaps I would add that seafood is even better in the winter time :-)

We look forward to welcome you in December.

Until then stay with our Best Regards.

Sgares Time are nice well equiped appartments with plenty of space for a family. We had a two bedroom appartment (1.13) with 2 bathrooms. Great service before arrival; not only by email but also by telephone.
Good size pool but a little cold due to the wind (bring a vest for the evening).Compared to the rest of the Algarve i am sure this is a nice place to be if you don't want to be in a mass touristic center. Very good restaurants and beaches in the environment (mums, villa velha).
Staff is willing to make the difference. Good cleaning, towels and bed clothing. Car is very handy. If you book with sagres time directly you have free entrance of the garage. Only thing that could be improved are the beds; to hard...

Our stay here was pretty much perfect from the moment we arrived until the time we left. In fact even before arrival when we booked direct over the phone the staff were friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. The apartment was spacious and with the added luxury of daily cleaning service - in fact when we reported late one afternoon that our apartment hadn't been cleaned within seconds the flying squad arrived. We loved our sun drenched sheltered patio for lazy morning breakfasts. Everyone talks about the wind in Sagres - at this time of year it was perfect - we could enjoy cliff top walks without getting hot! Plenty of choices for eating out - highlights for us were the Indian restaurant and the bar on the beach at Martinhall.
Would definitely like to return as its a great place for a holiday.

Having stayed extensively abroad, we were impressed by the very high quality of service at Sagres Time. The apartments were comfortable, well furnished and spotless, with daily housekeeping of a standard similar to a very good hotel.
We found it very easy to reach a comfortable temperature in the apartment by adjusting the very simple to operate aircon, which could also be turned off!
The washer/drier facility meant that towels and clothes could be clean and dry when needed.
Reception staff, available 24 hours/day, were extremely helpful (even supplying us with pegs when requested!).
The complex is well designed around a well maintained pool area popular with families.
There are numerous cafes/restaurants in Sagres offering, particularly, a good selection of fish dishes. We often stayed until about 7pm on the beach which was very sheltered from the wind with only a light breeze; a hoody is advisable later in the evening.
We would highly recommend Sagres Time.

This place is as clean as a whistle. We stayed in 1:31 and found it fine but it's on the north side so when choosing a place, specify west or southerly apartments so you can dry your towels: ours never did on the line on one of 2 balconies. Also, we rarely got any sun so that with the air con (very efficient) made the place a little on the cool side. The apartments are a bit clinical: you could be anywhere in the western world. Think Travel Inn but better standards and infinitely better weather. Staff were really friendly and efficient. Great security and position for the village. I wouldn't stay again because I'd rather get a more Portuguese experience by hiring a small place privately. The pool is good but small. Great if you have children. Contrary to popular opinion, we didn't hire a car but then we didn't need to. You can hire bicycles and get round easily enough and it's SO much cheaper and healthier. The beaches around the apartments are all a short walk away and gorgeous. We dived with Cape Divers who I cxan't recommend more highly: fantastic staff, service, diving and whole experience. Algarve Surf Company were OK but we used Alberto's surf company which is based at his Maretta surf shop in the village. I recommend him for the mountain bike tours around the locale. We had a fantastic day with him leading us to some secret spots on the south and west coasts.
Sagres is a fab place to stay if you like your beaches, rock pools, surfing, biking etc. Don't forget it's windy though and that might not suit everyone. It makes evenings cooler and sunbathing can be a bit like being sandblasted past 4pm!

Room Tip: Don't go for the northerly side apartments (see above).

From the moment we arrived the staff were helpful and friendly. We were made to feel welcome and that nothing was too much trouble for them to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

We were in Apartment 121. We were given a very thorough tour of the two bedroomed ground floor apartment we had booked last minute for 6 nights. It comprised a spacious living/dining/kitchen, a large bathroom, two bedrooms one with a queen size bed and one with twin beds. The queen size room had an en suite bathroom. There was a double sofa bed in the living room which we did not use.

Manuel showed us how to use the remote control for the air conditioning in the bedrooms and the living room and gave us instructions on the use of the extensive range of equipment in the apartment kitchen. This included a ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, and washing machine. Everything worked. The kettle had to be turned on and off by pulling out the plug - no on-off switch - which we were assured is normal in Portugal.

All the furniture looked new. There were flat screen TVs in the living room and bedrooms. Multiple channels including BBC News. Free wi fi too. Wi fi reception not perfect in our apartment but fine outside. Staff said that 121 is the worst for wi fi in the complex. Plentiful cupboard and wardrobe space. There was a small private area with table and chairs for eating outside, but the view was only of a hedge. First floor apartments, which are single bedroom ones, have their own balconies. The beds are hard - common in Potugal I think - but I was told mattress toppers were available on request.

The main bathroom was intended to be accessible by disabled people with a sliding door and an emergency pull cord. It had a shower over the bath though. I'm not sure how accessible some disabled people would find that. Neither bathroom had any active ventilation or windows so there was a lot of condensation. Nice shower in the en suite though.

For me one brilliant feature is the way in which the apartments were thoroughly cleaned and tidied each day. They really are kept spotless and the cleaners were lovely. Fresh towels were provided as required and pool towels supplied free of charge. The pool and garden area are really clean and well looked after.

There is underground parking charged at 3 Euros a day, but there is also plentiful free parking just outside the complex which we used with no problems.

Reception is staffed 24 hours a day apparently. There was always someone there to greet us at any time we arrived.

The apartment was really spacious and cool. The tiled floors mean that there is some noise from the apartments above you, and maybe this could be an issue if the occupants were particularly noisy. They weren't when we were there.

When we first arrived I found the surrounding area a bit daunting. There is an abandoned hostel nearby that looks decrepit and much of the land around the apartments looks like it was ready for development that hasn't happened. Maybe due to the recession? Sagres itself has at least one great beach - Beliche - and is near to lots of surfing beaches. The town beach is 15 minutes walk away and has a beach bar. Lovely clean beaches and sea. Some concern about the water quality next to the fishing port - but I can't imagine anyone wanting to swim there anyway. There are also some world class beaches nearby - if you are prepared to walk a while from the car. There was also one lovely restaurant we went to - "Mum's". I'll review that too. Good Intermarche supermarket 2 minutes in the car. Other facilities nearby. But much of the town looks like it needs an injection of capital and a make over. It's much less developed than many other parts of the Algarve and I wouldn't want to change that. But a coat of paint, some tidying of the waste land, and some litter / dog mess clearing would be my priorities for the town. Don't let that put you off visiting though - we went briefly to Alvor along the coast - and the very developed areas - and I was so glad we were staying in Sagres!

The weather was cloudy for several days. We found that we could get into the sunshine by driving only 15 minutes or so east. I suspect that being right on the south western tip of Europe, Sagres may experience more wind etc than most of the Algarve. A car is essential here.

In summary - great apartment and very helpful staff.

Room Tip: We stayed in Apartment 121 - the first one after Reception. I think I would try to get an apartment...

Sagres Time is a very enjoyable place to stay. The apartment was kept spotless and very roomy. The pool area was also spotless and very relaxing. The staff were very helpful and were always willing to help in everyway they could. They gave us information of places to eat, booked boat trip and surfing for us. I would highly recommend it. The pool area was very relaxing and quiet.
