Room was spacious and basically equipped, a little worn but everything worked. (Could use a rack to dry clothes) Staff were lovely. The walk to the beach and shops was a bit much for my elderly mom, fine for the average person. Free bus was handy and taxi was inexpensive. Start of Sept, it was a nice quiet area. Continente supermarket had EVERYTHING you could possibly need, just 15 min stroll away. Aldi and Lidl also. Would definitely book here again, as would mom.

Last minute holiday to portugal and found this place.
I read a few bad reveiws so was a bit worried about location as wasnt in albuferia.
I had nothing to worry about the room was soo big and spacious comfy bed all the facilties for self catering not that we used it has wandered out for food.
very good shower they came in every day fresh towels etc. For a 2 star very good no complaints what so ever would not hesitate to stay here again.
Cant comment on the bus service but runs like 3 times a day to the beach of praia da rocha or portimaio itself. We quite enjoyed the walk to the beach and the evening to the bars 20min walk max to walk of the food and beer. The beach is realli lovely white sand we went here everyday rarther than the pool which i think most people did as pool was quite small but that didnt bother us.
There is a lidl down the road which we walked to a few times for water and snacks very cheap.
We ate breakie at geges next door at a very good price but we prefered to go to taffys which is very popular and can be a bit busy but very good english breakfast which my husband prefered so went here a few times before spending a day at the beach.
So overall a lovely relaxing week away honestly not one bad thing to stay about this hotel do not take no notice of bad reveiws.

The hotel is dated but is located half was between Portimao and Praia de rocha both 20 minutes walk away the hotel supplies a bus that brings you to both locations 3 times a day for free. The hotel is dated if the rooms were refitted could easily be a 4 star. We paid just over €200 for a week at the end of September and can't complain with what we got for the price. The supermarket is 10 minutes and lidl and aldi 5 minutes further. The aqua shopping centre is a 25 minute walk. If your not expecting 5 star this is the hotel for you. Its quiet at night but if you want nightlife Praia is a 5 minute taxi ride away. The rooms ans balconies are spacious.

Rooms are basic enough but have all you would need for a sun holiday - you only sleep in them! Staff are friendly and helpful. It's about 15/20 minutes walk to Praia da Rocha beach which is absolutely glorious. Alvor is only about €10 in a taxi and is good for the evenings - old fishing village which is much better than tourist made Praia da Rocha. Pool area in the hotel is quite intimate so would recommend either the hotel bus to the beach or the walk to the beach. One word of advice - do not book your airport transfer in the hotel. Do it in Praia or on-line - much cheaper and you get what you pay for!

Room tip: Get a room at the front of the complex. No sun whatsoever on our balcony :(

Hotel is approx 15/20 min walk to the strip and beach of Praia Da Rocha which is great. Pool is relatively small for the size of the hotel but bar do nice cocktails, food is average. If you come out of the hotel and turn right, next door there is a small cafe that do better food, also come out of the hotel and turn left and there is a cafe up some steps 2 minute walk away also and they do lovely toasted sandwhiches.Staff are really nice and helpful with good English. Rooms are just standard, nothing fancy but doesn't matter because we only sleep in them, rest of the time you are not there but I found the bed to be nice and really liked the shower and bathroom too. The local Centro supermarket is a nice easy 10/15 minute walk and is excellent value for money, the food and drink are quite cheap and fruit is really nice and fresh so its good to stock up on things there. The walk back up to hotel isn't that hilly as some previous comment mentioned. Its fine. For all the tours to Zoomarine and Slide n Splash there is a bus stop right outside across the main road and the buses pick you up there so that was really handy. Hotel can book them trips for you but we did it all online for the discounts and buses arrived at the stop at the time the website says so don't be late. Alvor is about 15 minutes by taxi and well worth going to. I would go back to this hotel if I couldn't get somewhere slightly closer to the strip. We walked in every night and it was fine but would like to be a little closer. Taxi to the strip would be about €5
