“Beyond our expectations”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

We were looking for a special destination to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We choose Casa Tres Palmeiras primarily because of all the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor. Thanks fellow Trip Advisors, you were right again. This place did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, it far exceeded our expectations. Rooms are great (immaculate), breakfast is wonderful, the views are spectacular, the beaches are beautiful, great restaurants within walking distance, and, most importantly, Dolly is the best. She is the perfect hostess; we felt like we were staying with our favorite aunt. We had a ridiculously early flight home and she insisted on getting up at 2:30 AM to serve us breakfast and say goodbye. We became friendly with some folks who have been traveling to this area every year for many years (from the UK), and they had no idea this place was even there. One of the ex-Presidents of Portugal has a place just behind Casa Tres Palmeiras (that’s how the taxi drivers found it). When I mentioned to Dolly that she had a better spot than the President, she simply said, "I was here first." Believe every good review you've read about this place. We were there in mid-June. The weather was perfect and the summer crowds had not yet arrived. Be sure to take a short taxi ride to Alvor (lovely fishing village) for some great restaurants. And stop in and see Bruno at Patrimonio (five-minute walk from Casa Tres Palmeiras) and tell him “the Americans” said hi. (Apparently, very few Americans travel to this place; we were a novelty). I can't say enough about this wonderful place. We have traveled all over the world and this is by far one of the best experiences we've ever had.

We are just home from a fabulous 6 night stay at Casa Tres Palmeiras. Perfect location away from the main tourist area and at the end of a string of drop dead beautiful beaches. We went to the beach several days and were surrounded mostly by Portuguese beach-goers which we enjoyed. The b&b itself is absolutely charming. As others have mentioned, we felt like we were Dolly's personal guests. She made a number of restaurant and day trip recommendations which were perfect and we would not have found on our own. We loved the continental breakfast which we occasionally supplemented with a la carte items. Like everything at Casa Tres Palmeiras, breakfast was a custom experience - when and as we wanted it. We sat overlooking the ocean. Casa Tres Palmeiras is an absolute gem. Our most enthusiastic recommendation!

Such a wonderful and relaxing experience. We stayed six days and could have easily done another six. The rooms and facility are so comfortable and private that you never even start missing home. We can't say enough good about it. It was a flawless stay and we look forward to coming back again!

Room Tip: We stayed in two rooms during our trip. Both were wonderful!

The best B & B we have ever stayed in - excellent in all respects! We will be returning to this oasis of calm, beauty and tranquility. The rooms are very comfortable and breakfasts are delicious. It's just a short walk along the adjacent beach, or along the cliff top to some great restaurants - serving very well-cooked local cuisine. The pool is kept at a minimum of 26 degrees centigrade.

Casa Tres Palmeiras is an oasis of beauty and relaxation. The home was beautifully designed and the rooms are perfectly appointed so that guests can be separate if they care to. But Dolly, the owner, has created such a special atmosphere that one wants to know everyone drawn to this spot. Having gotten to know her in the few days I was there was one of the great pleasures of my stay. Warm, generous, passionate, smart, and very funny. Icing on the cake: good jazz playing softly in the common area/living room of the inn. The location is perfect. A short walk down to the most beautiful beach. The breakfast; delicious. You can walk along the beach to the next beach and dine at one of the three casual restaurants located there. Not far from all the sights and towns along the western side of the Algarve. Three days was NOT enough. Thank you Dolly for a perfect end to our visit to Portugal.

We have just come back from our first stay at Casa Tres Palmeiras. We could not fault anything and can only thank Dolly for looking after us so well. The location and views are stunning however we would recomend a car. The service was first class and everything was exceptionally clean and so well cared for.
We cant wait for an opportunity to go back.

This Casa was the very best choice for our honeymoon! If you are looking for a beautiful place right at the beach but very quiet and relaxed this it the perfect place for you!
We spent 5 nights here and it was the very best part of our honeymoon! The owner is very sweet and even gave us a present for our honeymoon! The breakfast is served right on the beautiful terasse with ocean view whenever you prefer it!
After that you can spent hours at the pool or enjoying the breathtaking view!
Still there are lots of things close by if you are interested in the culture or the landscape! Great beaches, nice fishing village, good restaurants and rocks to climb on!
Especially the quiet and layed back atmosphere was very special! We did not want to leave!!!
This is the best escape if you need some quiet days! We will come back!
