“Fantastic!”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

We have been several times and can only praise the food, the setting and the staff. A small select restaurant, beautifully decorated with decor you would choose for your own home. Menu is excellent, changing from time to time, but always with seasonal 'specials' Staff are friendly and attentive, but never 'in your face' We have taken lots of friends to this restaurant and the word has spread how good it is. Booking is definately recommended. A bit off the beaten track for many holiday makers but well worth the journey.

“A wonder in the middle of nowhere!”
Reviewed December 28, 2011

Whilst it is wonderful to eat at all the little Portugese restaurants in the area, it is also great to find a sophisticated restaurant like this out in the sticks! The decor is tasteful, the food is first class with plenty to eat and it has a lovely terrace in the summer and a cosy fire in winter. The portions are plentiful and the food is beautifully cooked. it is a great place for Sunday lunch or a special occasion and the service is friendly and efficient. The owners also have an Irish bar, Osbornes at Alfontes up the road which serves lovely draught Guiness and Speckled Hen. Not to be missed!

“What a delightful surprise in the middle of nowhere”
Reviewed November 18, 2011

Very nice building, beautifully decorated. Very friendly service; small menu but good choices. Cheese in many variations (as appetizer or main course) are somewhat of a specialty. The slow-roasted beef was delicious.
