This place is awesome, for Lagos. Strange place, but very cozy and modern, staff is amazing, very well working. And I ate best tuna steak EVER, believe me! It was incredible, tuna was fresh and juicy and soft, grilled very lightly. Overall experience for this place is fantastic!
Also, very good wine plate, good tastes, lots of amazing tapas.

We visited this Portuguese Tapas house because of Tripadvisor rating at 4.5 stars. Well the overall impression on decor deserved the 4.5 rating, however we ordered 4 tapas which so sorry but all the food was second rate and it certainly was not cheap. I think that what they have tried to achieve is clever but without expertise in the kitchen it is sadly lacking. Hamish, Edinburgh. PS and it's h..l and gone away from anywhere, you need a car to get there.

They also do Starters and Main courses and also specials so you can mix and match if you prefer. We had Fish Soup to start, which was as good as the best we have had elsewhere (and only 4€) and then a selection of Tapas, and then we just couldn't resist the Creme Brûlée and Chocolate Cake.
Really friendly and nice staff, great service, good selection of drinks. Fantastic contemporary space. Highly recommended.

I've been a couple of times to Tasca Do Kiko, and it never dissapointed. Staff is nice and very helpful, food and wines really good, but not much choice for beer lovers. There's pleanty to choose from the menu, booth tapas (highly recommmended, especially the seared tuna!) but also normal ala carte courses. From the outside you will not think the restaurant is anything special, but I do recommend booking, each time I've been there it was full. You go here for the excellent food and friendly service, you can forget about any nice views, but since I like sailboats, it's okay. Tasca do Kiko is located at a working ship yard (yachts and similar), so what you'll look at from the window tables are yachts on land, under repair/maintanence. Do not let the "plainess" of the place stop you from entering. You will be welcomed in a nice way and then you are hooked! The waiters (all good at english and perhaps other languages?) are happy to help on the menu items. I can highly recommend this restaurant! Prices are at level with the quality.

We have been to Kiko a couple of times and the tapas is average at best and expensive at worst. To explain, tapas is a Spanish concept of small bites and can be world class at best, we have eaten the best in San Sebastian, Barcelona and Seville, all averaging at E2 per tapa and all of great quality and innovation. Kiko comes in as a mere copycat, but poor to average quality at a top price, but with pleasant contemporary decor and cool music...emporer's new clothes perhaps !! (look it up)... there are much better places in town that do proper Portuguese food at the right price ! Tapas as a concept, best left to the Spanish.
