Amazing view of the cliffs, and of the rocks coming out of the blu see. If you go down the stairs you arrive at the bottom of the cliffs where you can take a boat and explore the caves, but I recommend to do it with the kayak is definitely better.

It is a nice location, but don't go there on foot.

It is a long walk, so best go by car, bus, or bike!

You've seen one, you've seen them all, what else can I say? The drive to it is quite spectacular....

A short drive west of Lagos, the scenery from the cliff tops is magnificent and very beautiful. There are some steps down to the water line where local boatmen await to take you on a tour of the caves - this is well worth the cost and is usually accompanied with an amusing commentary as some of the shapes in the rocks etc resemble famous people. You can walk around the top of the cliffs and peer down to the sea , and check out the view across Meia Praia to Alvor, Praia da Rocha and towards Portimao. There is a small cafe next to the lighthouse, and a bar/restaurant a few hundred yards back towards town. Regretfully no lift or wheelchair access down to sea level but still well worth the trip for those who cannot manage steps.

This lighthouse stands on a promontory just outside Lagos on the western side of the coast. You can reach this place by private automobile, public transportation or by bicycle. Leave your means of transportation at the parking-lot above the cliffs and just decide to hike the promontory all around. Just be cautious if you are subject to heights. But the view and the landscapes are absolutely stunning. This is really a highlight in the Algarve. The lighthouse in itself has nothing special. It is simply a landmark.
