Don't think you can beat this hotel for its price and location to the town centre, although it is lacking a swimming pool, which would be nice for the summer months, this is a idea hotel for those on a budget or weekend break.. The hotel and rooms are kept clean and excellent staff all to happy to help

Stayed here for one night. Paid 40 euros. Was very happy with what I got. Hotel was clean and comfortable. It is well situated and I got a good night's sleep. The breakfast was slightly disappointing but I don't think I could have expected more for the price (some fresher, less synthetic orange juice perhaps?).

A great value, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for: the rooms were small and very basic, but had all we needed. Considering how much we paid per night, this was a good choice. It is not a luxurious hotel, but it is well kept and quiet. It includes breakfast, which was very basic but helped save some money.

The location is great: on a quiet side street but right on the main square area, very close to all the restaurants and clubs.

The bathroom was very orange! The shower head needs to be changed, it sprayed water everywhere. Other than that, the hotel meet the minimum requirements for a two night stay in lagos at a very good price.

Brill Hotel Fabulous staff , couldn't do enough to make your stay comfortable . Rooms cleaned every day Brilliant location----central but quiet if your room faces the back---huge terrace, Rooms on groung floor (6) are very large with every thing you need (only thing missing is a wee fridge)
Breakfast basic but yummy. Rolls are so tasty- have loads :-) Roof terrace must be visited to see the view over Lagos.Awesome !

My wife and I stayed for four nights at the Lagosmar and we did not think much of it. We got quite a reasonably priced deal for our holiday but even a lot of basic standards were not met that you do and should expect from a hotel.

Our room stank of damp as did our beds and pillows. There was no air conditioning and no soap or any toiletries supplied. The view from our bedroom was of a wall opposite. The door to the room did not close and open properly and you could here other couples making noise in all the other rooms throughout the night.

Breakfast was no good. Just a few bread rolls and coffee that you had to fetch yourself out of the coffee vending machine..it tasted pretty bad. You would have thought they would have bothered to brew a few fresh pots of coffee for the guests. We had to eat out for breakfast for our holiday even though we had payed for bed and breakfast.

One good thing about the hotel is that it has a nice roof terrace that overlooks the town. We sat up there and I decided to go and ask at reception if they had any chess sets or a pack of cards we could borrow..the lady looked at me like I had just escaped from the local mental asylum!! How much does it cost for a couple of decks of cards or a chess set for your guests? How tight can you get?

I would not return to this hotel. If you are not fussed about cleanliness or service and just want a place to rest your head this is the place for you. If you want to have a memorable holiday go book elsewhere.

Perfectly placed in the centre of the old town - though steep lane and steps may be a lttle difficult for wheelchairs. Traditional rooms spacious, spotless and comfortable. Breakfast traditional Portuguese with fresh bread buns straight from the bakers. Staff could not me more friendly or helpful. If you have a room with no balcony, the huge walled roof catches the sun all day. At this price you couldn't do better.
