“Simply wonderful!”

The food was great and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it. The toilets were clean. The deserts are not made on site but there was a good variety of frozen deserts and you need to let these sit for about 5 minutes before eating. The drinks come in very well proportioned glasses.

During our whole holiday this was the only restaurant we visited twice!

“Best meal of our holiday!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012 via mobile

During our stay back in September we visited here for an early dinner.

Shredded duck for starter was gorgeous, one of the best I've had! We chose shredded chicken in schewhan sauce, which the waitress warned us was a dry sauce. This was a nice touch so we were prepared for what we were getting.

We couldn't eat all our food and it was boxed up for us. Staff were all really friendly, and the sweets that arrived with the bill were tasty! House red was cheap in price but nice.

We ate at the Chinese in the centre of town another night and it was awful, this is a hundred times better.

Next time we return to Lagos this will be first on our list of places to eat.

“Here's a Place Deserving a Higher Profile”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2012

I was amazed to find this restaurant has never been reviewed - and how low a profile it has when searching on Google. Maybe the owners are a little low tech?

So I will go first then! The food is simply yummy, if you are hungry and like Chinese cooking - then it won't touch the sides.. yom yom yom.

This appears to be a family business and has a welcoming traditional atmosphere. Service is efficient without being intrusive.

And to cap it all - its not expensive. We had a shared starter, two mains with accompaniments, 2 beers and 2 cokes for £26.

Over a 7 day holiday we ate here 3 times - never done that before so something kept drawing us back. If you are in the area - you really should try here.

I have noticed it gets mentioned on the forums and its well thought of there too.

Finally - don't confuse this restaurant with the exact same named one in another district of Portugal.
