We stayed here for three night in January. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. And they speak English. The hotel was very clean, bedrooms have everything one would need. And I highly recommend the breakfast. It was amazing, with a good choice of yogurts, cereals, bread, rolls, croissants, juices and meats. We will be back.More

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Marina Rio only for 2 days on an excursion south to Lagos from Lisbon. Upon arriving in town and checking into the room, it was easy to see why Hotel Marina Rio received such high ratings on TripAdvisor given its simplicity, city charm, and views of the marina. Walks through the quaint city of Lagos were beautiful with great restaurants peppered along the cobblestone streets as we meandered our way to different beaches for 3 days. I recommended this resort to family who came through Lagos and they stayed as well. Breakfasts were well equipped with your breakfast staples and the hotel staff was very helpful. I would stay here again!

We stayed here for three nights in December 2016. We had a lovely view of the marina - the location was fantastic with easy parking and conveniently located to walk into the town for dinner. The room was ok - what you would expect from a beach hotel, though the bathrooms could use an update. The service was lovely and kind.

my wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights Mid-November. we drove from Lisbon with no reservation and just decided to wing it. we called in to McDonalds to use the wifi (it's ok, we didn't eat their food - they sell beer you know ! :-) ) and searched for accommodation. The Hotel Marina Rio came up near the top ( # 2 of local hotels I believe ) and as it was very reasonable in price we plumped for that one ( we had also driven past the marina on the way to McDonalds so we knew it was a nice spot ). the hotel was awesome - lovely clean spacious room with a balcony overlooking the marina. but Miguel was the highlight. a really nice guy with a fun quirky sense of humour that appealed to us. he went out of his way to help us in any way possible. we will definitely come back - especially because of Miguel

We recently enjoyed 4 nights at this charming hotel. The view from our balcony on the 3rd floor was right out to the Atlantic,with a gorgeous view of the sunrise.The staff,especially Isobel,were warm and efficient.The breakfast was wonderful,with an abundance of choices!The location is ideal for visiting the old town,and nearby beaches, And it is close to the train,and bus station for trips further away.

Great hotel to stay at. We stayed for a long weekend break. I wanted somewhere quiet and close to the beach and the marina. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good price for a winter break. Will come again.
