This is the 4th visit to this area and we have considered going to this restaurant previously but never made it. Glad we made the decision to visit this time, what have we been missing. My husband and I both chose the same starter, main and desert: pate, duck breast and chocolate desert and ice cream. The pate was the nicest I have ever eaten and beautifully presented. The duck breast was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious, and the desert was very light, cooked to order, with ice cream. We enjoyed our meal so much we booked to go again before the end of our holiday. I have read many of the reviews on this restaurant and some which criticise the decor and the seating. We found the furniture very comfortable unlike some other chairs I have sat in. The views are beautiful overlooking the sea if you manage to get one of the window tables. Staff were great, very attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We have visited Lagos for a number of year and mainly stayed in Lagos Town area. We love our food but have put of going to Vivendo because of distance. What a mistake! it is just superb. Six adults all enjoyed every course put in front of us and not only great quality but very good value for money. The chefs gourmet menu for two is a steal, at around £75 including wine.

One of our most discerning guest had soup, loin of lamb and said “Best meal he has had in Portugal ever” from the Pate, prawn and goats cheese with honey starters all were really Flavoursome and just marvellous. The mains varied from loin of Lamb, Duck and Catch of the day (Silver Bream) which was catch of the day served in a white wine foam, just delicious. We followed with marvellous cheesecake, the lightest chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce.

The meal was washed down with very reasonably price Alvaraniho with all plates empty.

The waiting staff are all friendly, not too formal and and always on hand.

It’s definitely worth spending the taxi ride and as an added bonus the view over the beach to the sea is devine.

Hopefully you have found this useful and will give it a try, send them an email to book a table as they get back to you promptly. For large groups you may need to pay a deposit but you won’t regret it.

We went to Vivendo purely on the recommendation on TripAdvisor and weren’t disappointed.
The food was the star performer but the supporting cast of, efficient staff, lovely environment, good location really helped.
This restaurant is pure quality and that is exactly what I was looking for and delivered by everyone,
Thoroughly enjoyable evening see you again later in the year.

We walked into the restaurant and seriously wondered whether this was the restaurant we read about. The furniture is rattan, the wall was accented with faux pink marble (see the picture). I felt like I was in a Jersey diner or banquet hall.

Don’t let the decor throw you off! Go inside, sit down, enjoy!!! The food here is excellent. We had the bread with olives, carrots (I’m no expert on seasoning, but it was of Indian origin - turmeric, curry, ...), and a cured meat (similar to prosciutto or Serrano), tomato soup (good, but maybe not as good as prior reviews would lead you to believe), chateaubriand, and tiramisu. Service (which seemed initially a little gruff) and food was all excellent.

I only gave it 4 stars in the hope the decor gets updated for our next visit. The restaurant deserves all the 5 star ratings it’s gotten to date.
