Some reviews iffy about fish soup. Don't think bouillabaisse, think cataplana. Delicious flavours and only €3.50! Special prawns OK but as good as most places. Clams were in fact the smaller coquillas. Tasty. Perhaps larger stripy chaps weren't in season. Fantastic service. Great location at unspoilt side of Lagos Beach (next to best golf course in Portugal - Palmares). Do try the fish soup.

Great food especially the fried squid, great staff who are friendly and will have a laugh and joke as if they have known you forever,as do the locals who frequent bar quim. The best experience of our holiday and will be hopefully returning in the future. Mrs Karen Joy.

Having read the reviews, I just had to try the fish soup. So on a lovely sunny day we set off from Lagos for a walk along Meia Praia beach in search of fish soup heaven, only to be disappointed.

Nice friendly welcome and drinks brought to the table quickly, shortly followed by what can only be described as a very ordinary fish soup. Yes it was tasty, but nothing special and containing only a very few small pieces of fish. Maybe I was expecting too much, but having read the reviews I was possibly expecting something along the lines of a good bouillabaisse. Also the chicken curry special was rather watery, but never the less acceptable.

Would I visit again, yes possibly for a drink when out walking but not to eat as there are much better places in and around Lagos.

Nice rustic beach bar, excellent fish soup, and the sizzling prawns look fab even to a non-prawn lover like me. If you're not a seafood fan, the menu is a little restrictive.

Closed Thursdays, very busy with locals on Sunday lunchtimes, so book.

This beach bar is a must. Fish soup is just simply the best in the world. We come to Lagos many times a year and we always pay a visit for a bowl of soup.
I have to say the garlic prawns are also pretty good.
