Just back from an enjoyable break at the tivoli. Hotel very clean and breakfasts good, catered for everyones taste. Our room was nice, not the largest room we had stayed in but we didn't go there to sit in our room all day. The courtesy bus down to the beach club was reliable and well worth the trip down there. Free use of sunbeds and parasols on the beach area very relaxing atmosphere, around the pool area at the beach club there was a charge for sunbeds, didn't use these so don't know how much. The pool area at the hotel also very nice but the towels on sunbeds brigade seemed to be out early in a morning. Nice ten minute stroll down to the marina and restaurant area of town of an evening, ate at many different restaurants, we never had a bad meal, paradise for anyone who likes fish, O Galeano, Navigator and Reus all highly recommended. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday, hope to return in the future.

This hotel is a elegant old lady fraying at the edges, this was our 2nd visit & we find the whole holiday extremely relaxing.Yes its not prefect but in saying that its not far off.If you want modern stainless steel & mirrors do not visit,if you want somewhere clean & comfortable this is the place.

The Hotel Tivoli Lagos is very convenient for the centre and close by the Marine. The
Bus station across the road so if you decide to have a trip out - not far to go to catch a bus. This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel and it is always the same. The standard of cleanliness is excellent and the pool area is always spotless. This is a hotel if you want a relaxing holiday.

Sorry for the delay in writing a review but I must say that I had a lovely time at the Tivoli. The Staff were fantastic - especially Reception. The quirkiness of the layout was interesting and lovely and the standard of the room was exceptional. I celebrated my birthday there and I got room service with a bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries as a surprise! Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to everyone - especially singles and couples. Enjoy!

This was my first trip to Portugal and I certainly was not disappointed.
Holiday booked through Airmiles so suggested by them.
This older style hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Lagos so conveniently placed. The room was small and overlooking the pool and marina....to be honest not much time spent in room so did not matter to us. We were on a B and B basis and thought the breakfast was excellent,a mixed array of hot and cold food and plenty of fresh fruit. Coffee was from a machine and tasty.
There are 2 pool areas ,one within the hotel complex and the other about 10 minutes on a free coach by beach. The hotel pool was very quiet as most people just relaxing and reading books....we felt quite young at 48 and 53!!. At the pool at Duna Beach. free sunloungers on beach but we chose to pay 10 euros for 2 by the pool as near other facilities of showers and good restaurant. Pay 50 euros and you can have a love bed overlooking beach with bottle of bubbly!!!. Prices on par with UK as exchange rate not so good. Food at Duna beach excellent.
There are plenty of restaurants/cafes and bars in Lagos and we had a real mix of food at varying prices....but the fish is always fresh and well prepared wherever you eat..
I would certainly return to Lagos and probably the Tivoli as so central.

I took a trip to the Algarve for some quiet time last Summer.
The Hotel was beautiful, very spacious, very clean but also very quiet.
There was no children around the pool - perfect for some - perfect for me too for this holiday.
Young singles and middle age couples mostly. The staff were quiet, attentive but friendly.
The pool area is fabulous. The local restaurants and pubs were fantastic. Couldn't fault them.
As you leave the hotel you will see 2 pubs facing the entrance - I will visit Lagos again just for the atmosphere here. Excellent Staff, excellent food.
Only 1 complaint - Upon check in I was asked to become a member of the hotel group - if I agreed to fill out the form - as a thank you the hotel would supply your local paper and a bottle of water each day of my stay as a thank you
PLEASE NOTE : This is your local newspaper and 1 bottle of water(the first day) - When i was checking out she advised - Oh no , you do not get a bottle of water each day with your newspaper - just Day 1 - and OH you owe is €25 for the other water you drank
Don't be fooled by this - I was - I admit it - But won't be again.
Apart from that a lovely holiday and certainly will return.

Room Tip: Clean rooms , all you can ask for

We walked into the lobby and were hit with the smell of mildew. Everything seemed worn and tired. Our room was small and terrible and took a GPS just to find through the winding hallways and many elevators. We turned back the bed and saw many red ants!! We left this hotel immediately and refused to stay. Beware!
