We've now stayed in the Yellow Lagos twice once in summer 2011 and then in June 2012. This hotel is fantastic, it is set just back from the big Mia Pria beach and is a 15-20 minute walk from town along it alternatively their is a road which takes slightly longer. Taxies cost under ten euros or their is a local bus service but we found this to be a bit erratic. There is also a train station a short walk away but again not very reliable in our experience
The rooms are spacious, modern and very comfortable. The bath in the open plan bedroom/ bathroom gives it a quirky feel, the beds are big and super comfy too. The staff are friendly but not obtrusive.
Both pools are beautiful, the top infinity one I liked the best lovely views and a pleasure to swim in it. Around the pools the sun beds are not crammed in and the beds themselves very comfortable. The hotel is spotless quite a job as everything is gleaming white, even when the hotel is full it doesn't seem crowded.
The breakfast buffet was excellent a very good range of both hot and cold foods, and of good quality. We also have ate in the hotel a couple of times in the evening and found that to be very good too.
Lagos is a beautiful wee town, cobbled streets, lovely restaurants and with lots to do and see. If you go hire a car and explore the Algarve and surrounding areas you will not be disappointed.
