Ate here at lunchtime, so no problems with service or attention, as apart from the tables outside being full, there was plenty of room inside. Had the Cataplana de Tamboril which was beautifully seasoned and had generous amounts of prawn and monkfish. This was without doubt my favourite meal of the holiday and all at a reasonable price, bill including drinks came to E79 for 4 of us.

Well worth a visit.

This restaurant was in main restaurant area down a little side street. It immediately stood out as it looks a bit more stylish than the others.

The covert was average, cheese a bit over priced compared to other restaurants. House wine very good.

We skipped starters and went straight to the monkfish and shrimp cataplana. This was the best meal we had on holiday (all the food in Lagos very high standard). The shrimps were really big juicy prawns and the monkfish portion was extremely generous. The sauce and vegetables it came with also extremely tasty, with lovely fresh coriander really adding a lovely flagrant taste.

Very reasonable price for quality of food. Would have been a 5 star review if covert was better.

Reis is maybe the best traditional Portuguese cuisine restaurant in Lagos. It is located in a small paved street in the city center without too much traffic. It has tables outside and inside the main room. Everything we ate was delicious apart from the deserts which were really bad because they were not home made like the rest of the food. Try the "cataplana de Tamboril", the traditional way to cook the fish and the fish soup. The octopus was good too and the house wine really good, wright temperature and taste for the fish.

Ate here on the last night of our stay, was very disappointed! Firstly when the man came to take our order he kept turning away and talking to the other waiters and guests etc, i think we ended up giving our orders 3 times! The starters were lovely ( prawn cocktail ). However, the mains were a disaster, we had 5 steaks which 2 of these had to go back as they werent as ordered, the rest were under/ over cooked but we ate most of it! By the time we had finished our meal the newly cooked steaks hadnt come and nobody had come to apologise for the wait or the poor food! ( Bad service ) As soon as we had finished our food we wanted to get out of there, asked for the bill which came to over 100 euros which we thought was a rip off for the food and service we received!!

Ate here on our third night in Lagos. Food and service were ok, but didn't stand out - we both had the pork with figs, and while it was nice enough, the overcooked, watery veg let it down a bit.
