We chose a studio which should be enough for me, my wife and a small baby. The studio was in the ground floor and it had a living room area, a kitchen area and a bedroom area (and the bathroom).
Living room: dimension ok, many books available to read (in English) and a DVD player. The TV set was very basic and it had only the 4 Portuguese channels. The sofa is small but it could be transformed in a bed (uncomfortable).
The suite had only front view (no windows in the back). The front windows are large and that causes 3 problems. They don't protect against noise very well. Too much light enters the suite at night and in the morning. This suite had no outside protection against the sun and some days were too hot. Inside there were only some thick curtains but that is not effective. An electric fan was available. Although the Clube is very close to the sea and fresh wind may blow at night I believe Air Conditioning would be essential to improve the quality of the accommodation. At least babies need to sleep during the hottest hours of the day... And I sweated a lot most of the time.
Kitchen: OK, as expected. Good equipment. There was a washing machine (no dishwasher machine). No oven. As someone else said there is no dishwashing liquid and sponge but we were expecting that.
Bedroom: fair, but the mattress is too soft (not good for my back...). Double bed (and the cradle).
Bathroom: As expected but the toilet was noisy during the night because there was some water permanently running. Closing the door solved the problem.
Cleaning: It looks like the cleaning is made every other day. Every day should be better.
There are some small ants in the suite but that was not a big problem. We could live with them...
Check-in/Check-out: when we arrived (during check-in hours) the suite was not ready. So, we had to drive to Lagos and spend there some time. It should not happen.
Location: The best. The Meia Praia beach is wonderful and the largest in Algarve (perhaps, a bit windy but I’m not sure…). And we only had to cross the road, the parking lot, the dunes and there it was… 2 minutes or perhaps 3 minutes if you have a baby… You need some transportation to Lagos. We had our car so it was easy to drive to the Marina, to the city centre or to the supermarkets. We can park in the road that crosses the Clube. No problem with parking.
Swimming Pool: Nice swimming pool with few people during the morning.
Other: There are some spare things in the suite (a spare light bulb, a spare bottle of gas, etc…). There are maps of the region. There is a sunshade available. Bring some protection against mosquitos.
Recommendation: The value for money is good and I could return because Maia Praia is great (but I would check first rates at nearby hotels).
