Had read about this restaurant on this site and in our apartment's welcome pack. Needed to book 3 days in advance but it was more than worth the wait. It is slightly out of the main drag but next door to the Youth hostel if you need to ask for directions. The service was faultlessly attentive, the menu simply organised and the food divine. It would be worth holidaying in Lagos just to eat here. Our only regret was not waiting on the doorstep on arrival to book more than one evening's dining

Like most of the other reviewers; you have to search hard to find the restaurant as the entrance is a simple anonymous doorway which leads through a passage way to the restaurant. It is relatively remote (but easily walkable) to some of the other restaurants present in Lagos but is still popular and well booked due to its great reputation and fantastic dining experience. You will find that some of the other restaurants get busy just due to their location - i.e. the first place that most see on their walk through the town. My tip is to get one of the free maps for the town - some have an advert for No Patio and the location marked clearly on the map.

We had to book 2 days in advance to be able to reserve a table but it was worth it. The pricing structure is simplified (and good value for money) and you can chose either 2 or 3 courses. In the end we ate at the restaruant 2 times during our stay. I can recommend the prawn starter and the duck main course. The house wine is also excellent (bottled specifically for the restaurant). The service was prompt and efficient - the owner seems to take a pride in marshalling the staff to make sure everything runs very smoothly.

The dining area itself completes the experience, set in the patio area of the restuarant amongst palms and trees. Some may object to the plastic chairs but to me this only added to the charm of the restaurant.

This truly is a hidden gem in Lagos. If you visit Lagos you have to track this restaurant down. You won't be disappointed.

We visited No Patio after reading reviews on tripadvisor. If you hadn't read the reviews you would never go there as all you see from the front is a doorway! Booking is essential as it gets very busy due to the good food. We went twice during our holiday and had a lovely meal both times. English owner and great menu makes this one of the best restaurants in Lagos.

Went to No Patio with the wife and 3 kids. We booked on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Food and service were the best we had while we were in Lagos. Our little fella had fallen asleep and Martyn arranged for a big comfy chair to be bought to the table. Great service. The setting on the Patio was lovely and very sheltered from the windy conditions we experienced. Highly recommended.

We were recommended this restaurant by friends, but when we saw the outside before it opened we weren't sure. But, we went ahead and what a surprise! No Patio means with patio in Portuguese, so the setting is a lemon/fruit grove with intimate tables. The only negative is the odd whining child although the majority of groups were adults. The food is fantastic, the service wonderful, setting romantic. Do not be put off by the front door, book early as it is one of the most popular restaurants in Lagos.
