“The most delicious and interesting menu in Lagos”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

Simply the best food in Lagos, Cais Bistro has the added bonus of a fantastic location at the pictereasque Marina of Lagos.
Nab a window seat and watch the sun set over the wobbling masts of bobbing boats while indulging in some really fine and interesting cuisine.
My partner and I found this restaurant on the last evening of our first holiday to Portugal, and we made sure we left a good few evenings free to return when we went back in September this year.
Service is efficient and friendly and you can take your time deciding on what to eat over a cocktail or glass of prosecco - bliss.
My favourite dinner is a combo of 'oozing rustic camembert', followed by a rack of New Zealand Lamb, topped off with a trio of chef's favourit puds. Oh my. What a treat for the senses.
You would be mad to miss this place. And while you're at the marina, you can book a boat trip for tomorrow!

“Little Gem in Lagos Marina”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

We dined at the Cais Bistro & Bar 3 times on a holiday in Lagos. The menu is very appealing; with so many dishes that you want to try.

Cais Bistro & Bar are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My partner & I went for dinner twice and lunch once and on all occasions had wonderful food.

The restaurant itself is located in The Marina in Lagos. A lovely spot to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner.

In the evening we would have to wait for a table due to the restaurant being very busy, but don’t let this make you want to go and eat elsewhere. The other restaurants in the Marina were never busy as Cais Bistro and once you dine there you can understand why.

The bar is well stocked with many drinks to choose from including wines, champagne’s, cocktails, beers, etc. and all reasonably priced; €5 for a Champagne Sangria for example & €2.50 for a glass of house red.

We had the Thai Spiced Chicken Skewer marinated with honey & lemon & ginger, French fries and sweet chilli dip and Medallions of Pork with a creamy Dijon mustard sauce, rice timbale and roasted vegetables. Both meals were full of flavour, very fresh and great value for money.

For desert, we shared a Rum & Raisin Coupe with Chilled Lagos Moscatel & drunken Raisins, this is delicious and was a lovely way to end our meal.

The service from the bar staff and waitresses were friendly and attentive. There was a lack of staff so the wait to order etc can take a little longer, but certainly worth the wait.

We will definitely return one day very soon!

“Loved it - went back for more”

Really enjoyed our meals here. Staff are great and the atmosphere is very chilled. Try the voodoo chicken wings - if you dare ;) Tastiest club sandwich I've ever had!

“Nice lunch with marina view”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

We ate here for lunch and had a good experience. The service was quick and we were seated immediately - it was late September so I wouldn't expect it to have been that busy. The food was good, I had a hummus pitta and it was really fresh and came with a good salad, my husband had a burger which was great for him as it came plain just as he likes it, and we shared some chicken wings which were small but tasty.

All in all it was a good experience, not sure we would have chosen it for dinner though as it was a bit more bar than restaurant (as the name suggests!)
