It's well worth spending around €10 on a taxi out of Lagos to this restaurant. It feels very intimate and the fairy lights and table lanterns add extra magic to the whole experience. We sat outside on the terrace. Service was friendly, if a little fast paced. The portions were huge! Nice wine list that wasn't too expensive (ps - Portuguese wine is delicious).

Went here for my partner's birthday. I got the hotel to book well in advance and was so pleased to find this place as it is off the beaten track. Well deserving of it's no 1 ranking on tripadviser. The cuisine is European with very interesting combinations of flavour and texture. Great ambience and perfect service. Choice of eating outside in the garden or two rooms inside. Quality is impressive and the prices are very reasonable. Good selection of wines, again not overly expensive. Definitely worth finding this place which is ten minutes outside of Lagos.

There appears to be a mix up here as the restaurant in the photograph and described by a few of the reviewers is not the Cachoa that I know and some of the reports are about
The Cachoa that I am familiar with is out in a rural area between Luz and Lagos and is at least 4.5
TA should look into this.

We have been going to the Algarve for over 20 years and reckon this is one of the top 5 we have been to. Setting is very rural, but on the edge of Lagos and within easy reach of the city and Boavista Golf Resort, which is literally 5 minutes away. Menu is a mixture of different styles, although predominantly Mediterranean. Service was slick but unobtrusive and the food was of a very high standard. Priced slightly above the other restaurants in the area but well worth making a detour for.

My husband and I had a very good experience in this restaurant. The people were nice and the food was amazing. However the portions were a bit too big (which might be good for some people) and you may have to consider if you really want that starter or desert afterall.
