Situated 5 minutes from Lagos, it is well worth the taxi ride.....Cachoa proves it can be done: beautifully presented food that tastes as wonderful as it looks. Lovely setting, have eaten in the lovely tropical style garden and the pleasantly decorated interior, both atmospheric. Don't forget to take cash here as credit cards are not accepted, and book early, Cachoa is deservedly very popular.

A lovely setting as we sat at the front of the restaurant in a garden setting. No view to speak of but a nice garden feel outside. I didn't even need to go inside the restaurant during my meal!
My family enjoyed a meal on a Saturday Evening in July. Plan ahead: "We had to book a table 24 hrs before!". We skipped starters & we all agreed our main courses were the best meal we had whilst on our 2 week holiday in the Algarve. Food was an excellent restaurant standard and all cooked with care & love from scratch, including the kids meals. Service was attentative at all times.
We felt that the desserts were not quite as good as main course but still very nice, but be aware kids pay full price (7.5 euros/dessert).

Our most expensive meal on holiday at 25 euros/head but definately the best so you get what you pay for.

Be aware : Book ahead to avoid dissapointment & they don't take cards/visa/mastercard although staff did make it clear & let me know ahead of our meal.

First restaurant we tried around Lagos. Everything was perfect ! Lovely service, delicious and creative food. The coriander pesto was a killer.

We only had lunch here so only wanted sandwiches and salads.

The crab, tuna sandwiches were lovely but the chicken was drowned in a tasteless mayonnaise.

The salad was tasty, though a bit odd. It turned out to be a stuffed beef tomato with a couple of lettuce leaves.

This is an outstanding restaurant and worth the short trip from the centre of Lagos. The menu is fantastic offering several meat options alongside the expected fish you find in the Algarve. We're not usually a dessert family but we couldn't resist and were not dissaooointed. The service was excellent - we were a party of 12 - and the staff were all extremely helpful.

We will definitely return!
