Mullens was recommended twice to myself and my partners, if not for the recommendation we would have never found this unique place in Lagos,
Very dark on the inside and this is not a place to eat out in the sun, you need to eat inside in the old style tavern, the surrounding and character of the building add to the atmosphere.

We went back a second time on our last day of the holiday "which says alot!" food was just as good second time round, service was really good, even when its jammed.
Only thing i can fault is the waitress the second night who is extremely beautiful but what she was wearing was very inappropriate "very short tight dress" not appropriate when bending over if you get what i'm saying.
But apart from that i could not fault athing with this restaurant, if you want a really good, tasty, inexpensive HIT THE SPOT MEAL this is the place to go :)

Brilliant food, great atmosphere and great funk night on Friday night. We were there 3 times in the week. Twice for food. The potato and spinach curry is glorious.

just back from lagos and was lucky enough to visit Mullen's on Rua Candi dos Reis. the restaurant is in an old warehouse that at one time housed barrels of wine. it is big, bright and airy. dotted around the room are large 7ft tables with wodden furums as seats. on a recommendation from a couple who had eaten here six times during their ten day visit we deceided to call in at 7.30, we had no reservation. for starters we had carrot and corriander soup which was just an absolute treat. we settled on chicken piri piri, stone bass and mozambique beef. the meals were just fab, with the beef dish to die for. a mistake was made over the fish (sea bass was ordered but my son received stone bass ) no big deal. the fish was of good size and cooked to perfection. as a result of the mistake a round of drinks on the house were called for and given with a smile and a half. no room was left for desert but we skipped the starters on our next visit and tried the deserts. going back to lagos in Oct and have every intention of visiting Mullen's again.

I ate here with my fiancé recently whilst on holiday. We were greeted and shown to a table by a friendly and attentive waiter. Our meal was absolutely gorgeous. I had fillet steak which was served with stacks of lovely fresh veg and chips. The steak was cooked to perfection - just the way I had requested it. My fiancé had pesto chicken pasta which was served with a huge side salad. Really could not fault the food at all, it was thoroughly enjoyable. We planned to have desert but were too full! Atmosphere was lovely, staff very friendly and the music was brilliant. Will definitely be back on my next visit to Lagos!
