I guess this is an average party hostel with drinks in the evening and prolonged sleeping in the morning. There are some disadvantages though - limited number of toilets (with a very strange policy of not flushing the toilet paper down the drain, but placing it in a bin near the toilet), absolutely overpriced dinner (10 euros dinner will get you enough food to search for a restoraunt nearby) and rather pricy beer.

Also, it's a rather expensive hostel when looking at what if offers.

I stayed here for 4 nights and paid just over 30 euros a night when I booked in advance.

The guy who checked me in (short ish guy with a long black beard) seemed disinterested and like he didn't want to be at work. The rest of the staff were all really friendly.

I stayed in a 6 bed dorm and there was no air conditioning so the nights were extremely hot and sweaty even with no sheet over me. Beds were super comfy though and had a locker underneath for belongings.

They have some lovely outdoor space but the furniture is not at all comfy which is disappointing as it could be a lovely space to chill out if they changed the furniture. The hostel has a drinks fridge and beer tap where you can help yourself and pay at reception so would be good to chill out on the patio with some comfy seats.

The showers have really poor water pressure and the shower drains don't drain very well which is probably a good thing given the lack of water pressure! Otherwise the bathrooms and the hostel overall is very clean.

I noticed that they were charging walk in last minute bookings 60 euros a night, I don't feel that this hostel is worth this much and I'd recommend if you are being charged that much then go elsewhere!

In short, I'd recommend if it's not in the height of summer as you won't get a good sleep and if you book in advance for a decent rate.

This hostel is in a really beautiful building! They have multiple areas for socialising, hanging out, eating and being on your computer, outdoors and inside. There's a big board of activities in the Faro area, including the timetables to get to the beaches, islands and national park nearby. The staff in the hostel are super friendly, happy to answer questions. Breakfast is included and there is an option for dinner for 10euro. I think on Saturdays they do a big BBQ on the patio, but I wasn't there on a Saturday. Rooms are clean, secure, bed was comfortable. There are lots of bathrooms and showers so never a problem.

Living in London I decided to pop over to Portugal for two weeks, this hostel was by far the best stay of my entire trip! The staff were so helpful and friendly. The hostel was always clean and tidy and has good within room security for your possessions. Plus you can get a three course home cooked dinner and glass of wine for just €10! I could not recommend this place enough! I will definitely be back and will be recommending this hostel to my friends that are heading to portugal

If you're heading to southern Portugal, this hostel should be on your list of sightseeing attractions! It's not just a place to stay but actually an experience with all the amazing staff, great atmosphere, evening dinners and parties! Plus variety of rooms to suit everybody's needs!
