The hostel was nice for one night, and the location is perfect. But it seems quite expensive for the confort and the quality of the room.

A centrally located hotel with free internet access in lounge area. Room was pleasant but bathroom was like an obstacle course. The place had some general noise during the day from outside which is to be expected but after dark and through the night it became like a bizarre nightmare in the streets outside. Clubbers and drunks howling, shouting, singing. The noise was unbearable from thumping speakers at a weekend from a nightspot. The hotel is fine but outside the level of night time noise is criminal. Buy good ear plugs. I left after 4 days even with them.

Right in the middle of the town, easy to walk everywhere (even from the train station). The room was simple and just 4 channels on the TV, but ok for an overnight. The taxi to the airport takes 2 minutes to arrive at the hotel and around 10 minutes to get to the airport.

Really lovely place, you couldnt beat the location (and price) - its just in the centre with cafes, restaurants and shops, short walk from the marine, "old town" and bus/train station. However it is not located directly on the main street so no tourists walking under the window. Its very safe place especially for solo travellers. My room and bathroom were clean and bright with comfortable bed, towels were provided and there is tv in the room as well. I have to say you can hear some street noise (if you stay in one of the rooms from the street side)- but its not bad and i wasnt bothered by it.
Staff was really nice and friendly! I didnt have problems with the booking even when i had to change it. Very good price!
If i get back to Faro i will stay there again.
P.S. Dont miss Capela Dos Ossos which is few minutes away and if you walk further you can find many nice cafes without tourists :)

Stayed in this hotel for three nights on a business trip to Southern Portugal and other parts of Iberian Peninsula in September 2010. I paid 37 euros a night for a single room (got a large double room for myself only), breakfast excluded. The room was ready for me even in the arrival morning, after a request sent when making the reservation.
The location of this place is great. The Faro Marina is only a stone-throw away as are the beautiful walking streets with restaurants, cafees, shops and the historical and other sights.
Room was ok. Bit modest, but clean. Staff was friendly, but English was average tops. It didn't matter to me, since we managed to understand each other in all occasions.
No availability for internet.
In the last night there was a lot of noise coming from a nearby bar or night club which lasted until the early hours. Still, I would consider staying in this hotel, if I go back to Faro again, especially alone or without kids or wanting to have good access to marina.

The rooms are spacious, beds are comfy and clean, the people only speak portuguese but will do all they can to be understood, lots of smiles, laughter and good humour. Ideally placed for water front cafes and super restaurants (try the Versailles) - we spent a marvellous time and will be back for next year's Faro bike rally.

This Pensao is standard for Faro, it has average prices, average rooms. No breakfast is included. The receptionist is not well organized. We asked him to book a taxi for us to leave at 7am. We went to the reception only to find him not there, a few moments later we heard a alarm ring, shortly after the receptionist arrived rubbing sleep out of his eye and called us a taxi. We were lucky that a taxi was available at that moment. There is a nightclub next to the hotel, so it is very noisy late at night. Make sure to ask for a room at the 'back' of the pensao, as we had the first one near the reception and could hear everyone that came and left.
