We booked this last minute as had previously planned to stay in the mountains but due to forest fires hotel had to close.
Loved the location just north of Faro, we had a car so visited towns, villages and beaches both to the east and west of Faro as well as Faro itself.
Rooms were spacious, big beds, basic but clean, WiFi was good, could do with more sockets in bedroom.
Housekeepers did a good job, beds made and turned down with a chocolate each day.
Polite, friendly and helpful staff. Reception staff gave tips on places to visit, and advice on local area.
Breakfast was good, buffet style, lovely fresh fruit, juices, fizz, cakes and tarts, cheeses and meats, breads and croissants, jams, honey, yoghurts, cereals and more.
The restaurant is in the old part of the palace, great outdoor eating area with fabulous views.
Outside pool area very pleasant and quiet.
Spa consisted of a small pool, sauna, steam room and rain shower.
Free parking in under ground car park a bonus.
