“Great value delicious chargrilled food for the family”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

We were taken to this place by our taxi driver and had no expectations. With its strip lighting you are not expecting gourmet. However, the service from the wonderfully friendly mature waiters, and the delicious and generous portions make up for the decor. The piri piri chicken and homemade chips like grandma used to make we're one of the best meals we had in Caroviero and our kids loved the chicken steak. Definitely recomend it to any families, especially those on a budget, the whole meal to 4, with alcohol, cost €40!

“Best traditional Portugese food in the Village”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Slightly out of the way and unburdened by tourists, I have always found this restaurant to be a great experience. The owner is a character and very hospitable and the menus are full of traditional dishes. It's a good sign when the locals eat there too.

I have been eating here for many years, we start every holiday in Carvoeiro with a meal here.
I recomend the Seafood Rice or Monkfish Cataplana... and then their amazing chocolate mouse.

“Dont eat there!”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

We was a group eaten there. The french frites was swimming in cold oil on the dish and the chicken was skinny, butter fat
, to old table salt. Three throw up later. Stupid and ruthless staff.

“So nice, we went twice!”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

This place doesn't look much and is hidden from the main town but worth the extra walk or even a cab journey. Opens later in the evening (6pm) and seems to cater for locals and those in the know.

A limited menu offers typical Portuguese food including piri-piri chicken, boiled prawns and mixed kebab. Be warned the portions are LARGE!! (the child's menu is a bit disappointing but they will make any meal in a small size)

Great laid back atmosphere with the staff happy to help and advise in any way they can. A meal for 4 (3 courses, juices and a bottle of wine) came to about 80 euros.
