We visited twice on our recent holiday to Carvoeiro. The first time we went it wasn't busy and we had a lovely meal for 4 people with wine and drinks and it only cost 88 Euros. The food was very good indeed with the tapas being delicious and memorable compared to other restaurants nearby. We all had meat for a main course and we all said how tastyand unusual the dishes were. The desserts were home made and equally delicious. On our second visit we knew what to expect and Martin gave us a full run down of what was on offer that evening and we chose some different tapas and main courses to the first time. I plumped for the mixed fish in spicy sesame seeds with melon which i'm afraid just did not work for me. The fish was very well cooked but the taste of sesame seeds with watermelon and garlic didn't seem to go very well, but that's just my personal opinion. My wife had the black pork which was a bit fatty for her especially as she chose the small portion and almost half was fat. The service on the second visit was also poor compared to the first, and whilst we don't like to rush our meals there are limits to waiting, and getting drinks shouldn't be so difficult and slow. All in all well worth a visit, but hopefully if you do go it won't be busy otherwise you're in for a long evening!
