Expected more from this after reading reviews. Huge room (seen better days) huge comfortable bed. Nice towels. Kitchenette very tired. Drawers wonky! Hob sort of ok. Good cold fridge. Ants everywhere across surfaces. Nice outside balcony area (we were on ground floor). Pool area ok. Pool ok temperature. Sun beds basic no cushions. Didn't eat here so no comment. Annoyed as no mention of extra cost for safe and deposit for pool towels. Who would want to steal a pretty average towel????

We stayed at Carvoeiro Hotel for two nights during our trip to the Algarve and it was the best accommodation during the holiday. We got a lovely huge room at the highest floor with stunning views over the sea, without having specifically booked a sea view (car park side - no disturbance though at all!). The apartment was very spacious and we used the kitchenette to make our own breakfast every day and enjoyed it on the sunny huge terrace. The bathroom was newly renovated with a fab shower. The pool area is also very lovely as there is a lot of green space around the pool with sun loungers to relax on and it generally is very quiet throughout the whole hotel. It's a 10-15 min walk down to Carvoeiro centre, which is very enjoyable as the neighbourhood is quiet with lovely houses and little traffic. Carvoeiro itself is a quaint small seaside town with great walks along the cliffs and a relaxing vibe. We also didn't mind walking back up the hill, we're both young and fit people and have had steeper climbs on holidays. Best to enjoy the view once back up! Staff at the hotel was friendly, the room was clean and tidy. Can absolutely recommend the hotel and will be back here when visiting the Algarve again!

Room Tip: rooms on top floor facing the car park have sea views and are quiet

Our room was very spacious and the bathroom was amazing. Such a big rainshower! The food was pretty good too, they serve several dishes in the morning and evening. Staff is very friendly. It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach, but you can also take the bus or taxi.

We stayed for 10 days and loved every minute. The hotel is lovely, it is as other reviewers have said, up a steep hill from the town/beach but walking down is no problem - its just the coming back up that's REALLY hard work - we made good use of the taxis, at 4 euros it was well worth it!

It is a relatively small hotel which is just what we like, and was a quiet and relaxing environment. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the receptionists always greeted us with a smile and a chat. The cleaners worked very hard, our apartment was cleaned every day we were there.

The apartment itself was huge, we had a 1 bedroom deluxe apartment which had a double balcony and lovely views of the pool and surrounding area, and we could even see the sea! The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the bathroom had a walk in shower. The kitchen area has pretty much all you need for self-catering, as we were. Some of the kitchen units were a bit rickety but there were plenty of utensils, crockery and pans, and a microwave and coffee maker. No kettle or toaster but perhaps you can get those from reception, we didn't need them so weren't bothered.

If you like watching TV when away they have a few English speaking channels including BBC1.

The pool area was great, generally first thing in the morning it was very quiet with it filling up as the day went on. There isn't a massive amount of sun loungers and toward the end of the holiday some people were having to lie on their towels on the grass if they came down in the afternoon when all the loungers had gone, although the day before we left they brought a few more loungers out so they are obviously aware. The pool was very clean - and very cold - but very welcome in the heat.

The pool bar serves good lunches/snacks, we didn't eat in the restaurant but heard good things from those who did.

We had a great break at the Carvoeiro Hotel and will go back without a doubt.

What a lovely hotel up the top of a steep hill. The room was lovely beds and pillows very comfortable. The room had all we needed comfy bed , telly and a kettle to make tea. The bathroom had a very large walk in shower. Beds and towels changed very regularly. There is also a lovely pool and a bar . I would highly recommend this hotel
