Just got back from Colina Village on the 23rd April after a week of glorious sun, really enjoyed the stay, the two bedroomed apartment was modern and spacious the sittingroom / bedrooms had great airconditioning units, the complex was reallly well run and apartment was tidied / beds made every day. Was really quiet there and practically had the pool to ourselves which made it easy to keep an eye on the kids. Theres a shuttle laid on 3 times daily from the complex into Caravoeiro and a Taxi back was just over 5 euro, We ate in the restaurant in the complex just the once and found it to be great value and tasty, if you fancy a tipple ask Luigi for the Portugese Moonshine in the complex bar! t
Theres an intermarche supermarket not far from the complex and the friendly local taxi drivers would pop you off there and come back for you to give you time to do a shop. Bring your own Sun Tan oils and aftersun as its crazy money over there for them also bring some Mosquito repellent as they were abundant and hungry. I used Yellowfish Transfers and found them to be excellent meeting us at the airport and collecting us on time from the complex.
Overall a really nice holiday Colina Village, Portugese people are really friendly even though times are hard over there, it is an excellent place for families and relaxing, was really impressed and will return again some day.

Room Tip: If you have toddlers ask for a Ground floor apartment , all the apartments with the letter A are up a flight of stairs.

This was our 1st family holiday abroad. Myself and my partner went with our 5 kids (aged 2-12yrs old) Our three bedroom villa was AMAZING! Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two balconies, patio doors to the ground floor, good sized - well equiped kitchen, livingroom with sofas, dining table and television, cleaned every day, sheets and towels twice a week.

The complex has three swimming pools - one childrens pool, full size pool and an indoor pool, plenty of sun loungers, beautiful gardens, friendly helpful staff, tennis courts/play ground, small supermarket/shop, restaurant, pool side snack bar, free mini bus into town of Carvoeiro. We spent most of our holiday lazing around the pool while the children played, swam and ate. So relaxing! Carlos was our waiter come child minder, we didn't have to lift a finger as he was always there to help!

Carvoeiro is a small town with a small beach. There are lots of restaurants bars and shops there so you can spend a few hours wandering around, all shop keepers where very polite. We went on a few excursions, Zoomarine, Villamoura, Cape St Vincent, Loule Gypsy market...

On the downside I have to mention that these villas/apartments are in a rural location and don't have a footpath to go into the town, however the minibus is regular and after 6pm a taxi ride is only about 5E. This didn't bother us as we wanted a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle and that is exactly what we got! Try the chicken piripiri - it's a must! Happy days...

A fabulous place. The appartments were very clean and well maintained, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant food was excellent, reasonably priced and all of the the staff were very friendly. We would especially like to thank all of the waiters at the restaurant for looking after all of us. Our parents, in their late seventies and eighties respectively were delighted by the personnal attention from each and everyone. Louis in particular went out of his way on our first night. We were very late arriving, early hours and he managed to get us in to our rooms and find water and milk to enable us to have a cup of tea. We had been in the hospital till the early hours, so this was much appreciated.
Although Carvoeiro is a lovely place, we ate every day and night at the Colina. It goes without saying, the food was brilliant. Thank you to all at the Colina Village. Dave, Christine and family

Room Tip: We asked for 3 rooms together on ground floor. We had 3 appartments together, facing the pool, fantastic.

An absolutely fabulous place. The village was very clean and well maintained. It was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant food was excellent, reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly.
Colina village was a 25 minute walk from the centre of Carvoiero and the beach but well worth the walk. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from which offered a good range of different cuisines. The taxi ride home always cost less than 5 Euro.

This all made for a fantastic holiday and we would love to go back.

Excellent accommodation and cleanliness. Apartments were cleaned daily and maids even made beds.
Very friendly at the front desk and were impressed that the restaurant was open even late on a Sunday evening when we arrived.
"Live" entertainment was good but very sad that there was such a small audience for them.
Colina well situated to walk to Carvoieria or to use the Colina courtesy mini bus.
