Arrived 1st week in Sept, still nice and hot. Great view of the cove and sea.. what we came for.

Rooms really need updating, but the hotel is in generally very good condition, and relaxed, staff very helpful and friendly.

Watch out swmming at the cove, it's not great for less strong swimmers and the sea comes up very quickly. Rent a car and drive to Alvor the beach is a lot better

Stay for 2 weeks at end of august,if you want a hotel away from the bussle but within easy reach of everything this is the one!
We had 2 rooms with interconnecting doors (which we could lock to keep the kids out lol) cleaned daily. stayed b@b plenty of choice for everyone as buffet style.
Pool was great 10 year old was in for hours at a time giving us grown-ups plenty of time to relax and get that tan!
Its about a 10 minute walk down to the town square with plenty of places to choice from on the way down to eat to suit all tastes,
AND NOT A SINGLE TIME SHARE TOUT TO BE SEEN--ANYWHERE!!-- EXCELLENT!!
Would recommend a massage!!
Excellent views from the bar of the pool area and coast only thing it shuts a 1am!! boo but atleast its not noisy
Steps down to hotel beach which when the tide is out is sandy or you can go from the ladder (swimming pool type)straight into the sea.
Plenty of sunbeds so no bun fights there, Hotel reception give you free towels to use at pool and beach which saves on the packing (which we didn't know!)
Recommend this hotel and would love to go back

Im writing this as an employee of a large travel company, i was very shocked and disguisted in the attitude and lack of thought from the reservations team at the hotel.
i contacted them for a couple who need a disabled access room and was told that yes they had one avaliable. But then only to be told that the customers would have to pay the price of a sea view room in order to have the mobility access disabled room. i found this highley offensive and unfair that due to needing the disabled facilties they would in fact have to pay out alot more for it. i ended up contacting the tivoli victoria who i have to say was a massive improvement and hugo the manager was very helpful who assured me that everything would be sorted out for the customers to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Great holiday on a special occasion.

We went for my wife's birthday "can't say what one" and I arranged with the hotel for flowers and champagne on arrival & the hotel arranged a birthday cake free of charge for us too.

The hotel is at a great spot and we enjoyed our nights "once the kids flaked out" sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves crash off the cliffs!

Carvoeiro is a great wee resort and a short walk away from the Tivoli and it's full of great restaurants.

My wee girl learned to swim on this holiday so it will always be a special place we will remember.

We are arranging right now to go back and have contacted the hotel direct for a really good deal.

The only fault with the hotel was the price of the food and drinks especially around the pool & the snack bar.

This was the second time that we have stayed at the Tivoli, the last occasion being a winter break in January a few years ago. As a base it is suitable for the town of Carvoeiro, ideal for walking around the area, visiting beaches (the best being 10 - 15 minutes away), using public transport (limited) or just chilling out.

As with our previous visit the quality of accommodation, the professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and the quality and quantity of the food was excellent.

If you just want to relax around the pool there are plenty of sun loungers available at all times during the day. Talking to some of the staff they confirmed that number are down at the hotel although that appears to be true everywhere in Portugal. The largest drop appears to be German tourists according to the local restaurant owners that we talked to.

The breakfast was substantial and I would recommend the buffet dinner for quality, quantity and price.

We would certainly use this hotel again.
