The apartment is small but clean and well appointed. Saying it could sleep four is a stretch but for two it was perfect. There are two terraces, front and rear facing north and south so you can always get sun or shade at any time of day. The kitchen had all the necessary kit for cooking as well as a washing machine, fridge and freezer. Bathroom was clean and has a bath, sink and shower.
The apartment is on the Vila Senhora Da Rocha resort near Armachao de Pera. The resort was good: clean and well maintained, helpful reception staff if you needed them, four pools on site as well as a snack bar, restaurant and small shop for essentials.
The beach is the clincher though, just behind the resort and down steep steps is a fabulous quiet beach. Cliffs at both sides so you don't get much foot traffic and the place was pristine. We spent more time sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling on the beach than we did anywhere else and could happily have done so for another week. The beach is about 5 minutes walk from your front door.
The owner was great: all emails replied to within a few hours, very helpful with advice about the place and what was around in the area.
Restaurants within walking distance are OK but not amazing but Armachao de Pera and Corveiro are nearby and have lots of great places to choose from - best of the week was Ele and Ela in Corveiro.
Overall great value for money in a good resort with a spectacular beach.
